Summary: Very good processor. Im running with a R9 270x and have been able to run anything thrown at me on ultra with 50+fps while recording. I run on high usually but did test the ultra settings and was amazed. Really no point to overclock this thing as it is already so fast.
Summary: Great processor. I've not OC'd it to 4.2, but I plan to. The only con I have about this, and the reason I'm giving it 4 stars and not 5, is that the stock fan is extremely loud on load - almost like a jet engine.
Summary: New build for basic video editing and general desktop work. No real need for a high-powered build but this machine should at least be useful for a few years. Replaced the stock cooler since it was barely adequate even at stock speeds.
Pros: Fast, multicore, cheaper than Intel, overclocks fairly well
Cons: Runs hot, high power consumption, stock fan barely adequate
Summary: A very powerful processor for its price, but don't let the 4GHz and 8 core fool you. Comparing this to the i7 4770k which is a quad core 3.5GHz. The i7 outperforms the AMD by a lot, but the i7 costs almost twice as much.
Summary: i use 2 of these in servers, and this CPU is great for the massively multi-threaded environment that a server presents, plus gcc has optimizations for the Piledriver and Bulldozer architectures.
Pros: Good fit for servers. Overclocks really well.
Summary: I bought this processor for my gaming PC, it works great! it has a good stock thermal solution (WAY better than intel's stock cooler) and it hold great clocks. It has headroom for MASSIVE overclocks if you use the right thermal solution.
Pros: -Great stock clock., -It's 8 cores provide amazing multi-tasking., -Runs cool with it's stock cooler., -Overclocking is great on the processor., -Great for gaming., -16 MBs of cache.
