Summary: i use 2 of these in servers, and this CPU is great for the massively multi-threaded environment that a server presents, plus gcc has optimizations for the Piledriver and Bulldozer architectures. During testing i was able to overclock both the samples i have to 4.5GHZ by using a 22.5X multiplier, without turning up the voltage. Kept NB and HT to 2400MHz. Didn't test beyond that.
Pros: Good fit for servers. Overclocks really well.
Summary: I bought this processor for my gaming PC, it works great! it has a good stock thermal solution (WAY better than intel's stock cooler) and it hold great clocks. It has headroom for MASSIVE overclocks if you use the right thermal solution. I found that the best overclock using the stock cooler is 4.25 GHz. It's a great processor, especially if you don't want to mess around with liquid cooling. but it's even better with liquid cooling.
Pros: -Great stock clock., -It's 8 cores provide amazing multi-tasking., -Runs cool with it's stock cooler., -Overclocking is great on the processor., -Great for gaming., -16 MBs of cache.
Summary: Came in great time (as advertised). While shopping I was very skeptical, but everything was fine when I got it. The one thing to note is that the cooling system that comes with it will get loud, but the noise isn't too much if you just want a solid system. If you want a system to sound smooth and quiet I would consider getting a different cooling system.
Summary: The FX8350 is a fantastic CPU. I love AMD and what they are trying to do, but this particular model falls a little short on performance unless overclocked...which I have done to a whopping 5.2Ghz. Not overclocked however, this processor seems to have trouble keeping up with multiple tasks...but overclocked...feel free to design the next space ship to Mars. Overall, this processor is great if you are wanting an affordable, overclockable beast!
Summary: i bought it as second pc. it can run any game easy with other program in back ground. i have 7990 on 4.0Ghz in Battlefield 3 my FPS 91 to 140 in 4.8Ghz i got more FPS minimum 98 up to 167 my Average FPS 116
Summary: Good product, If you are looking for a strong amount of multitasking and multithreading this is the processor for you. If you are trying to decide between the Intel and amd processor's and chips. I will say that overall the i5 is better for gaming however for applications, and for general start up and multitasking this processor takes the i5 easily. If you do purchase this fine processor, make sure that you change out the heat sink.
Summary: I recently built my own Rig and am a avid gamer, mostly blizzard games, some random STEAM games as well, anyway I bought the Gigabyte-990FXA-UD5 motherboard and did a boat load of research before i purchased, made sure everything was sound and ready to use right out of the box. I got my motherboard and installed my processor, no problems starting up, Windows 7 Ultimate installed no problem.
