Best AM3+ CPU!

JackJack, B&H Photo

  • Excerpt: Managed to overclock this bad boy up to 4.7 GHz at 1.46 V. Keeps between 55-65 c under load. Definitely get a water cooler if you plan on doing a serious overclock. I've got a corsair h100i gtx in push/pull to keep temps in check.

  • Summary: - In terms of budget and power, this is one of the best CPUs you can get in my opinion. Spend the extra money, trust me.
  • Pros: - Easy to put in, didn't really need the heatsink/fan - LOTS of speed - Great for multitasking - Immediately noticed a difference from my old FX-6300 in terms of performance
  • Cons: - Runs a bit hot, but nothing that can't be handled by my Corsair H55 water cooler.

  • Summary: -I would recommend this product to anyone that wants a upgrade that wont break the bank. -get a extra cooler like the EVO 212 hyper by cooler master just make sure you have enough case space. -I upgraded motherboard, ram, cpu, cpu cooler and graphics card.
  • Pros: -Better than my AMD phenomx4 9850 BE at 2.5ghz -8 Cores -Fast -Photo editing, multitasking and gaming
  • Cons: -It wasn't free LOL

  • Pros: Very reasonable price, and great performance. I was using this CPU for my first gaming system build.
  • Cons: It's a power hungry CPU, and very hot. Heat is fine because I am using water cooling for this beast.

  • Pros: fast 8 cores unlocked ...etc.
  • Cons: it runs hot. amd has always been a hotter running cpu. my advice. take the stock cooler out of the box and chunk it. the stock coolers are not going to cut it if you plan on oc'ing ,gaming, heavy use ,etc. that is a given . if you plan to buy this for any of that, plan to get a beefy a/m cooler a...

  • Summary: Using Corsair Hydro Series H55 120mm Liquid CPU Cooler, with fans in push-pull configuration. NZXT Phantom 630 case.
  • Pros: The stupid thing runs, under a small overclock, at an average of just over freaking 18 degrees, and never passes 25 under general stress. I think it's the coldest part of my case!
  • Cons: I can't replace the other parts of my computer with more of these. Dangit.
