I absolutely LOVE this CPU!

Kyle, Amazon
30 April 2014
  • Summary: I built my first computer recently and decided that the FX-6300 would fit my needs and budget pretty well. I am very pleased to say that this CPU has far exceeded my expectations. I can run multiple applications, games, programs, you name it and I'm not waiting on the computer to catch up. For the price you pay you really can't beat it. I especially love the overdrive feature. It takes it from 3.5GHz to 4.1GHz, and that's BEFORE overclocking.

Great CPU but get a better heatsink

  • Summary: This is a great little cpu. I debated between this one and going ahead and getting an FX-8320, but got this one at a good price figuring if needed could always get the 8320 later if i needed it. Well, the way this cpu runs on my new build, I doubt I will get another cpu. It runs great. Its fast, and with a good heatsink I dont have any problems with heat if I overclock it. It does over clock quite well. I am not a huge gamer but I do play a few games once in a while.

Great Performance, Great Price.

Michael Hayes, Amazon
28 April 2014
  • Summary: I recently purchased this processor for a first time build. With only a basic knowledge of computers, I relied on reviews and hours of research to decide what components fit both my budget, and what I was expecting in performance. I decided to pair the AMD FX6300 with the ASUS M5A97 R2.0 and I couldn't be more pleased. Install was a breeze, both the processor and cooler went in without an single issue.

Performs as Expected

Mike Herron, Amazon
26 April 2014
  • Summary: I paired the FX-6300 with an R7 260X and 8GB RAM to build a decent gaming PC. With that combo, I'm able to play BF3 on high @ 1080p with good framerates (30-60fps). GTA IV chills on a high/very high mix @ 1080p with framerates around 40-55fps. It maxes out at 45C with the stock cooler, so no problems there. The 6 cores allow me to do everything else I want to do with a game minimized, which was previously impossible with a dually.

Excellent budget gaming CPU, easy to overclock and runs fast and reliably!

  • Summary: This is my 2nd build with the AMD FX-6300 and I'm very impressed! I'm an Intel guy and I've been building mostly Intel-based systems for over 20 years and this CPU is the 1st AMD CPU that has impressed me with its value and performance and low price! I pair it with the MSI 970A-G46 motherboard and the Corsair H60 AIO liquid CPU cooler and it's effortless to overclock the thing and keeps the temps where they should be.

$109 new, you can't beat it. Intel's $109, the i3-3220T? Doesn't come close

  • Summary: Surprised the hell out of me. Worth every penny, albeit only few of them. The i3's that are in the same price range don't even come close.

Reccoemended to all.

fastesteclipse, Ebay
17 March 2014
  • Summary: Great processor. You can run 5 instances of Tomb raider if you'd like. Has a bit of heating issue with aftermarket coolers. The stock cooler outperformed the H60 corsair hydro series... May be due to the 70% of getting a bad cooler, but, none the less, great CPU. Will never ever bottle neck any system what so ever.
