Safe & Stable Overclocked to 4.4GHz with a stock cooler - I'm extremely impressed.

Summary: I bought this to replace my dual-core Athlon which just wasn't cutting it for Space Engineers and Grand Theft Auto V. The FX-6300 knocks these games out of the park, and for under $100. Can't beat it the value and performance.

Summary: I was running a AMD Phenom II XII 511 at 3.4ghz clock speed. This thing just leaves it in the dust. No comparison even though the stock clock speeds are nearly the same. The fan that comes with it gets the job done for me. I'm not a gamer. I do multi task.

Summary: I have to say i was kind of leery on purchasing this apu. but i am very surprised on how fast it is considering its not a true dual core. Its a single core with a form of hyper-thread technology that makes it run like a dual.
Summary: First time I try with AMD, I have to say I'm really excited because I thought that the difference with the different Intel processors that i had in the past would be very little, but let me tell you gentlemen that the difference is huge.
Summary: I chose this for my first rig and I can say that almost a year after buying it I have had zero issues at all with this CPU and still runs anything I throw at it. I have mine overclocked to 4.2GHz and haven't had any problems at all with cooling with the stock fan that comes pre installed.
Summary: I am not partial to AMD or Intel, but being someone who owns both Intel & AMD systems & built uncountable numbers of each, I will tell you first hand in *most scenarios* AMD's current line of CPU's are equally as good as Intel's in terms of real world performance.
