Summary: Just built a new system with this and a Radeon 7850. This processor runs great. Seems to run fairly cool too. Haven't seen it go higher than 51 degrees celsius during gameplay. The 7850 is a different story. I'd say it's a great mid-range processor with a low price.
Summary: Did a first time build with my son, you can't beat the price for the performance you get. Installation was easy, used the stock fan/heatsink that came with the processor. Wanted to buy the Hyper 212 EVO cooler, but instead I bought a computer case with a lot of fans, the Rosewill Blackhawk. Hope this decision doesn't come back to bite me. My son has no issue playing Minecraft and games on Steam, he is very happy.
Summary: I buy this item a couple weeks ago, when I received it the 1st thing was the ram was missing, then when I install the other components the mobo and procesor was overheatinp up to 60c only with the bios, I checked twice if there was any mistake when I install those components. The bad thing for me, it's I live in El Salvador and the price to send the parts it'd truly expensive, so, idk what to do right now with those broken parts.
Pros: 6 cores and the ability to overclock like crazy if needed all for $109 that's an offer that's too good to pass up
Cons: A lot of people say it's not as good as Intel but i really don't care about having the best and highest benchmarks or specs. I don't feel like spending $200 on a processor when i can get something cheaper that works just as good.
Summary: The thing runs great! I found out one of the cores was faulty and I sent it back and got a new one that worked. AMD costumer service in my opinion is great. (and i have an extra AMD sticker on my case ;P )The stock heat sink is fine but I'm going to upgrade to a cooler master hyper 212 evo. This processor is a really good deal for the average PC enthusiast and I would overclock it. If you want a fast PC get this processor.
Summary: Upgraded from Phenom II 965 Processor. System: FX 6300 Processor Asrock Extreme4 970 Board Corsair Vengeance DDR3 1600MHz OCZ 600 Watt PSU 80+ Bronze AMD Radeon 7870XT Graphics Processor I read reviews claiming this was a nice upgrade from phenom II's, I sort of doubted them, but was interested in this six core when I saw it dip to the price of 109 USD.
Summary: I built my first computer recently and decided that the FX-6300 would fit my needs and budget pretty well. I am very pleased to say that this CPU has far exceeded my expectations. I can run multiple applications, games, programs, you name it and I'm not waiting on the computer to catch up. For the price you pay you really can't beat it. I especially love the overdrive feature. It takes it from 3.5GHz to 4.1GHz, and that's BEFORE overclocking.
