  • Summary: Came as advetised. The heat sink is good enough for now. I don't see any issues with it. Great for my 2nd build.

Powerful enough

Seishin Kitsune, Amazon
13 February 2014
  • Summary: I am a gamer and occasionally will convert a video file. This processor handles everything I throw at it. I keep it under liquid cooling with an Antec 520 system and it Idles around 23c.

Fast, love AMD's price/performance factor

Ben Gearhart, Amazon
26 December 2013
  • Summary: I have overclocked this chip to 4GHz, not because I needed to but because I wanted to. Intel fanbois bemoan AMD's architecture slamming it saying it can't keep up. Sure maybe on high end benchmarks that most people might not grasp. But let me tell you, this chip is plenty fast enough and with all the cores I run a ton of applications at once with no obvious performance hit.

This thing is absolutely Beautiful

Samuel Wiese "Sammy", Amazon
28 July 2013
  • Summary: The only complaint i have against this CPU is that the stock cooler SUCKS. When gaming (max settings on BF3) mine reached temps of more than 65 Degrees Celsius.

Pretty good processor

J. Kissell, Amazon
25 July 2013
  • Summary: I haven't had any real problems with this processor... it works, runs great, have had it about 6 months now... My only complaint, and why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5, is that it's supposed to be a multi-core with a lot of gigahertz per core... or at least I thought... but several times I've done some very heavy CPU processing tasks and have made the system noticeably slowdown... The stuff I'm doing shouldn't be slowing the system down as much as it does...

great item, This was a gift for my mother, works great, she is very pleased!

jjl, Amazon
26 February 2013
  • Summary: I can't say enough good things about AMD, I've been using them since my 233 MMX CPU and they just never seem to disappoint (knock on wood). This 6 core CPU went into a machine for my mother for Christmas, it more than doubles what I'm currently running in my own home machine to edit video and photos... I can't wait to upgrade from my triple core CPU to an 8 core CPU... just not looking forward to replacing all the other items as well! It happens though...

Better than Intel if you factor in cost

J. Phillips, Amazon
18 February 2013
  • Summary: I have used AMD for years. I have always been happy with their products and this one is no exception. If money is no object and you want the absolute fastest chip then by all means go with INTEL. But if your like me and cost is a factor then you can't beat AMDs CPUs. They won't score as high in tests that allow you to brag about your system. But they do perform well in the real world and I doubt most would notice a difference.

Fantastic Value

Javascript Junkie "JavaScript Junkie", Amazon
15 February 2013
  • Summary: Fantastic value. I am not one to overclock a CPU or use a computer for playing games. I primarily use the processor for graphic production / web development work. This CPU is a great value. It runs cool with the stock cooler, and keeps up even on the most demanding Photoshop tasks. When compiling in visual studio or doing other processor intensive tasks such as archiving it tackles tasks without a hiccup.
