Summary: I have overclocked this chip to 4GHz, not because I needed to but because I wanted to. Intel fanbois bemoan AMD's architecture slamming it saying it can't keep up. Sure maybe on high end benchmarks that most people might not grasp. But let me tell you, this chip is plenty fast enough and with all the cores I run a ton of applications at once with no obvious performance hit.
Summary: I haven't had any real problems with this processor... it works, runs great, have had it about 6 months now... My only complaint, and why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5, is that it's supposed to be a multi-core with a lot of gigahertz per core... or at least I thought... but several times I've done some very heavy CPU processing tasks and have made the system noticeably slowdown... The stuff I'm doing shouldn't be slowing the system down as much as it does...
Summary: This sucker is fast! Windows 7 rates my PC at 7.9. I have this running with an MSI Radeon 7870 Hawk. I run all my games on Ultra without any problems. My PC never gets too hot even after long sesions. This is a greta buy!!!
great item, This was a gift for my mother, works great, she is very pleased!

Summary: I can't say enough good things about AMD, I've been using them since my 233 MMX CPU and they just never seem to disappoint (knock on wood). This 6 core CPU went into a machine for my mother for Christmas, it more than doubles what I'm currently running in my own home machine to edit video and photos... I can't wait to upgrade from my triple core CPU to an 8 core CPU... just not looking forward to replacing all the other items as well! It happens though...
Summary: I have used AMD for years. I have always been happy with their products and this one is no exception. If money is no object and you want the absolute fastest chip then by all means go with INTEL. But if your like me and cost is a factor then you can't beat AMDs CPUs. They won't score as high in tests that allow you to brag about your system. But they do perform well in the real world and I doubt most would notice a difference.
Summary: Fantastic value. I am not one to overclock a CPU or use a computer for playing games. I primarily use the processor for graphic production / web development work. This CPU is a great value. It runs cool with the stock cooler, and keeps up even on the most demanding Photoshop tasks. When compiling in visual studio or doing other processor intensive tasks such as archiving it tackles tasks without a hiccup.
Summary: A lot of choices when it comes to choosing a CPU everyone knows intel is better but its twice the price to get the performance this AMD CPU has for $130 you can't beat it! Im running all games on ultra with 8gb of drr3 corsair ram and an ATI 7770 and this CPU which i have clocked at 4.5GHZ with out even changing voltages I do have it being cooled with a corsair H80 and have a windows rating of 7.5.
Summary: I decided one day in 2012 to build my first computer. Did some research and shopped around eventually settled on this for my processor. As far as processors go (in accordance with my limited knowledge) this one preforms nicely. Handles multiple programs running simultaneously with ease. My only complaint is actually the fan that it came with. When playing certain games (specifically games like Mass Effect and Skyrim) the fan makes A LOT of noise. Like rediculous levels.
