Great Update

Slovikbear, Amazon
10 February 2014
  • Summary: I have an older Acer desk top that had a single core Athlon processor and I was looking for an inexpensive way to get more life out of it. When this processor arrived I took out the old one, plugged this one in and Windows updated the drivers with no problem. Don't forget to get the heat sink thermal paste.

Great AMD processor just runs to hot.

  • Summary: I replaced the stock Sempron le1300 with the Athlon 64x2. The performance increase was dramatic. I initially used the stock heatsink, which was a mistake. I installed an AMD 64 heatsinc and the processor still ran hot. I used Arctic Silver paste following the instructions on that website. This lowered the temperature a few degrees. It still runs 46-50 celsus which is to hot for confort. The thermal max is 55-68 celsus.

  • Summary: Got the item very well packaged. Plugged into my computer and it worked. Run on game settings it was very hot, reached about 75-80C, and i thought of returning it. Then I realized, I only got a stock fan, so I bought a new fan, it ran on 55-65 C 100% load. so just make sure you have a good HSF when installing this.

  • Summary: Pretty Speedy in vista. Handles multi-tasking well. It also performs well in the games that I tried and there's no heat issue. Also the fan it comes with is quiet.

  • Summary: AMD Athlon 64 X2 5200 AM2 In diesem Bericht geht es um den AMD Athlon 64 X2 5200 für den Socket AM2.
