  • Pros: Im sure that this cpu would have been even better if i didnt leave it overclocked for so long. although it lasted over a year at 3.2Ghz which suprized the hell out of me
  • Cons: it got extreamly glithie after more then a year of hard use at 3.2Ghz. im really proud of AMD on this one

  • Pros: Works great for the computer I built my dad for Christmas. This processor will really help him glide through his everyday tasks. Thermal paste is already on the heatsink. Installation was painless.
  • Cons: Included heatsink/fan is loud. I would recommend a steel case or another fan/cooler.

  • Summary: I needed a business class processor and mistakenly purchased this CPU for what I thought was one. After receiving and installing I got Nothing, after troubleshooting I came to the realization this was wrong CPU. ThankfullyI sold on e Bay or I would had been stuck with a CPU I did'nt need.
  • Pros: Fast Shipping, Retail Item
  • Cons: None that I could think of.

Price/Performance Acceptable.

Eduardo B., Newegg

  • Summary: I bought this CPU for my friend to give him a much needed performance boost since we both play games online and such. I know it isn't exactly a CPU for intense gaming but we are centered upon very tight budgets and therefore at the moment we can't really afford anything other than I'd say below...
  • Pros: *Excellent price to perforance as an upgrade to a single core 2.0 Ghz Athlon 939 Socket. *More efficient on the power than the CPU it replaced. *Excellent performance boost in both standard computer tasks + game performance, although not a exactly a CPU for gaming.
  • Cons: Don't really have any cons that come to mind. Could of shelled out 10/20 more $'s for a Black Edition CPU.

  • Summary: I had some trouble with the cooling fan that came with the combo I got with this. Nothing was broken or anything, just was a little tricky to get on.
  • Pros: Fit fine, no problems. Working great so far.
  • Cons: None

Good Buy!

  • Summary: Learn from my mistakes! Upgrade your motherboard bios before putting this in. I forgot too and it took me way too much time to fix everything.
  • Pros: Runs L4D, Sims 3, and a number of other games well on high settings. The heatsink doesn't require a manhandling to be put on. My computer is enjoying the upgrade from a 2.0 single core immensely.
  • Cons: Part of me wishes I had gotten the 2.9ghz for $15 more - but they were out of stock and this had free shipping. Still a solid buy.

Works for me

Benjamin S., Newegg

  • Pros: Use this along with a 780v board as a HTPC. CPU handles 1080p decoding duties perfectly. No real complaints. Usually buy Intel but went with a budget build as I wasnt' sure wife would adapt to HTPC.
  • Cons: It's not Intel? The CPU is no powerhouse but it does what I need it to.

good CPU

  • Summary: If you bought an aftermarket heatsink it would fix the con. I am an intel guy but it's a nice cheaper alternative to intel processors of the same caliber.
  • Pros: Processor does the job well ran several application and ran all of them just fine simultanously. Never had any issues with it. It was what i expected to be.
  • Cons: The heatsink was really small and cheap.

User Review

  • Summary: minus 1 egg for the stress involved in straightening a pin. the return policy states to package the cpu's very carefully as damaged cpu's cannot be returned... so i took the gamble and fixed yet another tiny peice of metal
  • Pros: only one bent pin!
  • Cons: one bent pin the supplied heatsink took more effort than the sunbeam cr-cctf 120 i replaced it with.
