AMD AthlonXP 1800+

21 May 2008
  • Conclusion: So what have we seen here today. Something that we all knew, clock for clock the AMD XP beats Intel's P4. That is why AMD poised it's naming conventions with a rating system. The XP core is not ready to scale to 2 GHz. They will have to shrink down to the 13 micron process before they hit 2 GHz. Now recently I have read some web sites that state the XP rating system is used to compare the XP and the Thunderbird line of processors.

Magic Athlon XP 1800+! (Thoroughbred B)

29 March 2003
  • Excerpt: This particular chip was originally a 2600+, and AMD have simply siphoned off batches from faster production lines to supplement slower models where demand is higher. Just goes to show how much profit margin there is on an XP2600+ if they can be......

AMD's Athlon XP 1800+ processor

9 October 2001
  • Summary: Well, there's not much I can say for the Athlon XP that the preceding test results haven't already said for it. It's the fastest x86-compatible processor on the planet, and by more than just a hair. AMD has easily recaptured the performance lead from Intel, courtesy of an old-fashioned whoopin'. At 1.53GHz, AMD's Palomino core delivers serious speed.

AMD Athlon XP 1800+ Processor and Technology Review

PC Perspective
9 October 2001
  • Excerpt: While a lot of what is being unveiled today is similar to the Athlon MP launch, there is much more behind in this launch in terms of marketing changes, marketing push and company muscle. The entire technology market is in a bad way now – jobs are being cut and sales are falling due to several reasons that are too complex to get into in this article.

Athlon XP 1500+ => 1800+

6 September 2007

Процессор AMD Athlon XP 1800+ (1533 МГц)

30 March 2003

Pentium4 2GHz kontra Athlon XP 1800+

11 December 2001
