Summary: I replaced my Athlon(TM) II 260 dual-core processor with this quad core processor on my HP Desktop. It was an easy install and it worked great the first time. I also upgraded to 64-bit Win7 and added 4GB RAM. Somehow I got an increase of 6GB of RAM instead of just 4GB.
Summary: GOT THIS TODAY AND ALREADY LOVING IT BOOSTED MY PREFORMANCE IN GAMING 100% GET DOUBLE THE FOS AND CAME 4 DAYS BEFORE THE ESTIMATED DATE WOW USED TO GET 30FPS IN COD GHOSTS NOW GET 70-to 120 FPS WORKS LIKE A CHARM!!!!
Summary: I'll have to back this cpu since I've used it since mid 2011. So far this cpu has performed well for the budget gamer that I am. I have a gtx660sc and 12gigs of DDR3 and I am able to play BF3 at 45-60 FPS, never a slow down with my setup, now crysis 3 without overclocking of my cpu and gpu has...
Summary: With a Cooler Master 212+ I had this thing stable at a 3.7 GHz overclock. Since it's a 95 watt TDP, the temps max out at 58* Celcius with all 4 cores loaded w/Prime95 with this 20% overclock. Couldn't be more happy, was able to turn a $100 processor into one worth about $150.
Summary: Great CPU, I had a Athlon 7850 which was a 2.8GHz Dual-core Black Edition. The temps ranged from 40c-50c. After upgrading I notice not only the performance boost but my temps are as low as 23-30c, very rare that it reaches 32c.
Summary: I have been using this quad core since last one year now, and I am very happy with the performance. I use my PC for online gaming, watching movie videos, do my office work and lotsa other stuff. I got a decent graphic card as well, so overall the performance for gaming is awsm.
Summary: It worked so well, I upgraded to the Phenom II X6 1090T 3.2Ghz. I haven't built my own computer for years and the perfomance improvement from my old machine P4 3.1 was so drastic...the geek bug bit me! So I bought another motherboard GA-870A-USB3 (I'm a Gigabyte fan)and the 6 core AMD.
