  • Summary: So basically my Board is shooting down my memory, or its this Core. I get memory management Blue screens. Simple computer restart until a successful load. I have placed 3 diff types/kinds of memory sticks in and all act the same at this point. I wish the O.C.
  • Pros: Amazing Stats and capability for the Price.
  • Cons: Memory issues or burden O.C. software.

Not a bad deal but

Christian H., Newegg
19 July 2011
  • Summary: Just thought I'd provide some info :)
  • Pros: Disclaimer: I don't own this. Pros: Price
  • Cons: You can get a Phenom II x2 555 BE (3.2GHz) with unlocked multiplier for only a few dollars more, and these have a very high success rate of unlocking the 3rd and 4th core. Also, the Phenoms have the L3 cache which this does not.

Great value for this kind of power

Guillermo G., Newegg
16 July 2011
  • Summary: I was able to use an old HSF that I had laying around (Xigmatek SD-1283). Cannot feel any heat coming out of it at idle. Even when gaming hard, it is hardly warm anywhere to the touch. Haven't tried overclocking it yet.
  • Pros: Runs cool, great value, quad core
  • Cons: Not a Sandy Bridge

Runs hot, but performs well

Matthew H., Newegg
11 July 2011
  • Pros: It can manage numerous processes without a hiccup. I'm running it without a graphics card and with moderately demanding games, it doesn't really lag. Good purchase.
  • Cons: It runs hot. As you probably guesses by its power consumption. I had to purchase a CPU cooler after I found out it peaks at ~74C with the stock cooler. Now it runs at ~42C.

User Review

SIRANDREW G., Newegg
30 December 2010
  • Summary: I am very happy with how well I can multi-task things now. I wish to make my next purchase a phenomII 3.2. AMD ROCKS!
  • Pros: For $88 I have a 64bit quad that is 2.8ghz :D With a $17 arctic cooling fan I can boast to me friends how awesome it is and looks on my board.
  • Cons: Packaging of processor made this chill run down my spine. It's supposed to be between the pieces of foam not off to the side of the foam in the little plastic tray. And I know its OEM but no box? Still it worked and been using it ever since just fine.
