Question: Cpu value comparison

What is the better value
AMD Athlon 620 Quad(the fastest rated)
or a slower rated Phenom that is only a 3 layer?

Suggestions on a cpu for the Asus M4A785TD-V-EVO.
To minimize options I would like to stick with this MB.
