Summary: I was able to unlock the 4th core on mine and is stable. I was also able to 3.5Ghz out of it after increasing the front side bus. it has performed very well so far and I would recommend it one.
Great CPU 3 core can be unlocked into a quad core easy!

Summary: This cpu can be unlocked into a quad core. When you do it correctly (with certain motherboards) can be unlocked in to AMD Phenom II x4 (denob or w/e it's code name is called). It requires a motherboard with a certain north and south bridge. (look on google). Essentially making this $70 dollar processor on newegg.com............. a $140 dollar processor for the un-enlightened.
Summary: This is one awesome processor. I was going to go with a quad core but didn't have the money. I overclocked it to 3.3GHz and unlocked the 4th core. It is extremely good for multitasking. I had just cause 2 and guitar hero 3 minimized while paused and then went to play a online flash game and no lag whatsoever. Paired with my hd4670 and 2GB of ram this processor is ideal for a budget gaming computer that can play just about every game out now.
Summary: Overclock to 3.2Ghz simple, I am sure it will go higher. Wish I could unlock the 6MB Level 3 Cache, or the 4th core, motherboard doesn't support it. I was concerned the 512k level 2 cache would hold it back, I can't notice a difference from a x2 260 with the 1MB cache.
Summary: Best for a limitet butget just like me. and for overclockes I have this one OC @ 3.4 V1.42, this mean it has good room for overclock, and IF YOU ARE LUCKYLY ENOUGH you will get one of those with the 4st core not defective so you can unlock it. By my self have tried 3 of this and one of them was stable wit the 4st core enable, so raise your praise..
Summary: I bought this after buying Sempron and unlocking would yield program lockups. I decided that multi-core was what I wanted and the Athlon was born multi-core. I inadvertently unlocked in the bios and was surprised when I was rewarded with a QUAD CORE PHENOM complete with level three cache. It works GREAT!!! Overclocked to 3.4ghz on stock settings and running like a champ.
Summary: Excellent processor, I recommand strongly. It's fast, can be unlocked 4th core, doesn't warm a lot and can handle big applications for a very little price. For me it's the best performance/price rapport of the moment.
