Summary: performs great at stock speeds. and was able to overclock to 3.9 ghz with stock cooler with min & max temps 34c-48c idle and after prime 95 for 3 hrs and bumping the voltage up by 0.10v. i play games like crisis 2 and other block buster titles @ 1400*900 @ max settings with a 550ti 4 gig of ram with an avg of 52 fps in all my games. so all in all, its a great bang for ur buck.
Summary: This is great for a Home Theater PC, why? Because it is a very low wattage cpu so it creates very little heat and in a HTPC you want very silent, low power, low heat parts. However...... If you are just building a regular PC and dont care about power/heat/silence then I would HIGHLY suggest investing a few more bucks to get the AMD Athlon II X3 445 Rana 3.1 GHz 3x512 KB L2 Cache Socket AM3 95W Triple-Core Desktop Processor - Retail ADX445WFGMBOX .
