Summary: I get this to replace a sempron processor it worked perfectly. I didn't have to change any settings in my factory Hp Compaq workstation, the cpu was automatically configured and functional. The only thing I had to do was to confirm the hardware change when powering on the machine for the first time.
Summary: Cheap processor now. Runs Windows 7 and newest Ubuntu no problems. Will run your office programs no problem. It will even stream netflix. I picked mine up for $20 and put together a PC for less than $100.
Outstanding perfromance for the cost; couldn't be happier.

Summary: CPU purchased for a home LAN 'server' build. Installed on an ASRock 990FX Extreme3 with 8GB memory, running Windows 7 Pro 64-bit. Windows Experience rates the CPU at 6.4 (out of 7.9 max), so it performs very well.
Summary: The price was attractive and the processor is very fast. Runs very stable. Hooked up with the Gigabyte MA785GM and 8 GB of ram and it breezez through all task I put it through. Have not tried to overclock yet as I usually like to run my systems as cool as possible. AMD offers more for the Dollar.
Great price. Excellent performance for entertainment,

Summary: I bought this CPU when my Quadcore CPU died on my home entertainment PC. This is very effective for that purpose, I overclocked it and it was even better. Great replacement, low energy consuming and affordable CPU.
Summary: Its more than enough CPU to handle my original intention for it. I'm using it as the brains behind my (fairly) new HTPC and it performs admirably. Currently I have XBMC running on top of Windows 7 x64.
Summary: The AMD Athlon II X2 245 is snappy processor good enough for your usual daily task, cost and performance benefits are realized when paired of with a good mobo with AMD chipset, I used the GIGABYTE MA785GMT-UD2H which is a very nice solid m-ATX board with 2GB of memory.
