Summary: Cheap processor now. Runs Windows 7 and newest Ubuntu no problems. Will run your office programs no problem. It will even stream netflix. I picked mine up for $20 and put together a PC for less than $100.
Outstanding perfromance for the cost; couldn't be happier.

Summary: CPU purchased for a home LAN 'server' build. Installed on an ASRock 990FX Extreme3 with 8GB memory, running Windows 7 Pro 64-bit. Windows Experience rates the CPU at 6.4 (out of 7.9 max), so it performs very well. The PC it is powering has 9 hard drives, plus SSD system disk, sharing out video, pictures, user shares. It also serves as a ShoutCast server, streaming mp3s 24/7. Performance is very good, with low CPU utilization and no bottle-necks or slow-downs whatsoever.
Summary: - Why you bought it because a friend recommended it to me, since he has one of the same and has very good resutado - What you like most about it AM3 is dual core 2.9 - Whether or not you would buy the product again yes, but for lack of money I want to risk buying a used
Summary: The price was attractive and the processor is very fast. Runs very stable. Hooked up with the Gigabyte MA785GM and 8 GB of ram and it breezez through all task I put it through. Have not tried to overclock yet as I usually like to run my systems as cool as possible. AMD offers more for the Dollar.
Summary: Its more than enough CPU to handle my original intention for it. I'm using it as the brains behind my (fairly) new HTPC and it performs admirably. Currently I have XBMC running on top of Windows 7 x64. Its able to handle play back of 1080p video, including Blueray, and 5.1 audio without any hiccups, stutters, and it stays at a very comfortable 40c (+/- 1 or 2 degrees) even after hours of use.
Summary: Hi! I didnt bought a Quad Core One because I am 80% of the time needing a dual core one that satisfies my software needs and It had a good price when I bought it. Anyway, it run amazing!!It has superior perfomance witohut overclock than Intel comparable models and operate only a 43°C on load. This processor has always 5 stars on aprox 250 reviews on Newegg!!. Absolutely truth! Fully recommended!!
Summary: This is a great processor for anyone looking to build a moderately fast PC on a tight budget. at 2.9 GHz and only 2mb of L2 cache, it is not blazing fast but it will allow you to multitask with no problem while using everyday programs such as Microsoft Office. It is also powerful enough to run new games at moderately high settings but a high-end graphics card is obviously required for this.
