  • Summary: Trying to write this conclusion, I really spent a lot of time trying to figure out what could be the demerits of the Athlon II X2 240. The only thing I can think of, that is really worth mentioning, is that it is a dual core processor, and you can get one more core for a mere $15 extra with AMD's...
  • Pros: Good performance for a budget dual core CPU, Socket AM2/DDR2 compatibility, Same list of technology support as AMD Phenom, Great pricing compared to Intel's processors, Good overclocking and great underclocking potential
  • Cons: Power consumption could be lower, High stock voltage, Price is a bit high when compared to AMD's new Athlon II X3 series
