  • Summary: The Athlon 64 x2 processor (Used) was in excellent shape. It was well packaged and I found it was cleaned, basically ready to go. Great care was taken in its packaging. Plugged in and applied heat sinc compound with new cooling fan and it is running at peak perfomance.

Big upgrade

dj12321jd, Amazon
19 June 2013
  • Summary: I bought this for because my processor was failing. shipping was fast and was safely arrived to my house. For a used CPU it was AWSOME!!! It was a really good upgrade from my failing CPU (Athlon 64 x2 5000+). Take care in mind that this is a WINDSOR CPU and check to make shure your pc is compatible. over all, best used product I've ever bought! Runs cool with my new heatsink/fan (30 to 35 C on idle).

New price/performance leader for AMD versus Intel

Christopher Wanko "-C", Amazon
9 September 2010
  • Summary: An AMD Athlon X2 processor is a good idea for a system builder, because it offers two cores using a 64-bit architecture. A comparable CPU type might be the Intel Core 2 Duo processors, which are also two cores using a 64-bit architecture. Just recently, AMD price cuts have brought the costs of the AMD Athlon X2 5600+ CPUs under comparable Intel Core2 Duo E6400 CPUs. Even better, the AMD processor outperforms the Intel processor.

Excellent £ to Ghz rating.

illogicology, Dooyoo
29 August 2010
  • Excerpt: i recently built a replacement PC for my father, his old machine had become a little world weary and he wanted to upgrade to Windows 7 and have less slowdown and stability issues. As he multitasks a lot with his machine, building his new PC around a nice, fast dual core processor seemed like a good idea. However, Dad is also on a budget and intel's offering in this area did not leave much in the kitty for a decent amount of RAM and a nice big hard drive.
