Summary: Reliable chip, no problems. Had to apply a good amount of thermal paste, to dissipate the heat. I'm not saying it runs hotter than it should, and the fan that came with our very obsolete computer can handle the extra heat well. But it does put off a lot more heat than the very, very old single core cpu we had before. price was good, delivery was good as always.
Summary: I got this along with an asus system board at a lower cost on ebay and 60 of these boards with the processor were sold and pulled out of unused machines. The tech they had helped me set up the board for free over the phone. [...] They sell the board, processor, cpu fan, heat sink and the back plate.
Summary: I have an ancient motherboard, GA-K8N Pro SLI has worked well over the years. At the time, I could not have bought a powerful processor for lack of funds, and even now I have chance to buy cheaply is a good and powerful processor for my old motherboard.
Summary: My son's computer has been a dog ever since we got it about 5 years ago. He got a new game for his birthday and we found out it wouldn't work with our old processor. I was ready to return the game but he came to me with the idea to replace the processor with this one. Ended up being a simple process to replace and it's made a huge difference in the speed. I wish I had done this 5 years ago!
Summary: I purchased this Processor in September 2012, in Refurbished condition For 30.00 + Tax. i have an H.P. Pavilion a1310n P.C. from 2006, that i just pulled off a shelf. and i laughed when i fired it up and realized it was a single Core... this processor was available as an upgrade from H.P. for the stock ASUS A8AE-LE motherboard (the HP/Compaq "in house" designation is: Amberine M-GL6E) and I researched the motherboard specifications, just to be sure that it is compatible.
Summary: I ordered this CPU from them and I thought I was getting a 939 socket CPU. I should have read the specs more clearly. It arrived in 2 days, and I saw it would not work for my m-board. I called, and was told that they would send an rma (sent out next day) and I sent it back-2 days it was refunded. When I told them I needed one for a different m-board, they said they could probably get one, and they did.
Summary: I was wanting to put some life back into my aging 2008 Compaq Desktop. It came stock with a 2.2 Sempron LE, 2 Gigs of ram, integrated graphics, and a weak power supply. So I started searching for parts to replace and upgrade this tin can of a computer. The processor was the last thing I needed. SO after spending a while finding the best most powerful CPU I could even put in, I came across this little beauty. It s a 2.5 dual core at a very good price.
