Incredible

Michael chapman, Amazon
29 December 2012
  • Summary: This is the fastest processor I have ever had, it came preinstalled on my hp a6250z series, and this thing is just a SPEED DEMON! I would highly recommend this for someone who likes to run big games, it is a very reliable card!

Good processor for a dual core

HGR, Amazon
9 November 2010
  • Summary: I bought this to upgrade my existing computer. I did the research to find out if my motherboard would take a faster processor and this came up as the second from the fastest CPU for my system so I bought it. It showed an inprovement but not enough to justify the change for me.

New Lease on Life for Older PC

TheWaldo "W.", Amazon
4 May 2010
  • Summary: I found myself in the dubious situation of having to look for a replacement for an older PC that bit the dust. It was an HP a1230n which was a nice enough machine and did everything that I needed, but alas, the motherboard croaked.

Enough for a workstation

Salazar Fidel, Amazon
6 January 2009
  • Summary: This processor has enough power for a workstation at a great price, if you are into seriuos games maybe you have to consideer at least a three core cpu, but of course this is in case you are planning to put it together with a $200 video card, but in pair with a 8600gt it's a perfect match

EXCELLENT CPU

Anonymous, Newegg
10 July 2008
  • Pros: Runs cool, fast, no problems at all. At idle, 6 & 8, at load, 17 & 19. This seems to be just as fast as my other computer running a E6300, BUT ALOT COOLER.
  • Cons: None

Awesome Processor

Joseph C., Newegg
9 July 2008
  • Summary: Solid AMD construction as always
  • Pros: Overclocked to 2.9 ghz with stock fan no problem, very stable very fast dual core... remember that these dual cores have 2 pipelines coming out of the processor unlike Intel who only has the 1 pipeline for 2 cores... makes this thing a dream for any system you put it in... In a system with 2 gigs...

  • Pros: Pretty much what everyone else said. This is a great product for the price, especially considering it's Retail so you get a heat sink & fan (and case sticker!) included. Very fast and stable.

Good economy processor

David S., Newegg
8 July 2008
  • Summary: This is a good processor when you want a low-cost CPU with enough horsepower to handle gaming and everyday tasks, or when you want to upgrade an older single-core system.
  • Pros: Inexpensive, quiet, cool. Couple it with a quality graphics card and you've got an inexpensive gaming rig.
  • Cons: By no means a high-performance processor.
