Summary: i used this cpu that i bought for my old desktop. i was able to overclock it to 3,2 ghz stable. i could of gone higher with better cooling though. i ran windows xp 32 bit on one hdd and 7 64 bit on another hdd and 2 gb of ddr2 800mhz and it ran windows smoothly.
Summary: Okay With an H100i or similar cooler, you can push this thing up to 3.2Ghz on the right board's. AMD better price to performance Then anyother processer.
5 September 2012
Summary: My laptop overheat and burnt out the old processer. 6 years of dust and fluff. replacement proc. was a slight upgrade. fitted and working very well now. slight performance boost. AMD (imho) give a better price/performance ratio than any other processer.
Summary: This was an improvement over a single core processor running 2.1 GHz. It was for a back up system and works just fine. It is not as fast as the newer quad cores or even some dual core processors out now but is a good upgrade over a single core.
Summary: Lost a star because processors still cost much more than than they should, in my opinion. Apart from that, this thing has been running my computer very well. Low energy consumption contributes to really cool temps.
