Summary: I was looking for a low power CPU and ended with this APU that says 65 watts. It runs very cool and under Windows 8 the speed while idle is just 0.80 GHz !!! and goes up to 2.4 or even 2.5 GHz instantaneously when needed. PRO: Low price Low power (energy saver) Triple Core CONS: Its hard to make this works under Ubuntu, cant make drivers work with the APU graphics... but if you add a discrete video card these works wonderful.
Summary: I bought this to run an ESXI host on the cheap for some test virtual machines. It is currently running a 2012 server, 2008r2 file server, windows 7, and a pfsense box without any issues (granted they have low load as it is not a production box).
Summary: I bought this to build a HTPC and was hoping that I'd be able to get a SteamBox out of it as well. I didn't get a SteamBox, but I got a great HTPC. I do my Blu Ray/DVD ripping on a different computer, so this processor is just doing playback and it's handled full 1080 Blu Ray mkv rips no problem. I have overscan issues with my TV running Vista (this is relevant because of the GPU in the die). I cannot see the task bar and other edges of the screen.
Summary: I got this APU because, I never concerned about the how many cores does a processor have. All I wanted is good GPU and so shifted my money from CPU to GPU. But this APU work really great. handled the processes adequately.
Summary: I put this in my ASRock and immediately overclocked this thing to 2.8 just on it's stock cooler for now. It's fast and responive, I even managed to oc the graphics as well, doubling it's clock speed from 400 something to about 814mhz. It's a good starter APU, I have to say.
Summary: This processor does "just enough" to make the basic user happy. I built a machine for a friend who only wanted to browse in the internet, watch the occasional video, and have their kids use the machine for homework and it's been more than enough power for it. Runs Windows 7 like a breeze (although the system does have 8GB of RAM installed). I wouldn't recommend it for heavy gamers or heavy multitaskers, but for casual use you don't need much more.
Summary: Installed this in a HTPC build and was happily surprised at its performance. As far as processing power, it is not the strongest/fastest by any means. But it handles media very well and was successful at playing Borderlands with medium/high graphics settings. Very nice not having to buy a video card! Low price for a good APU!
Summary: This is my running my NAS system. It has been going great for the past couple months. The NAS is always on and is active quite a bit. This thing has kept up without missing a beat. I couldn't be happier with the purchase, I have more than enough power that I can't really see an upgrade happening for quite some time. I would recommend this to anyone contemplating a NAS build.
