Summary: Overall, I would highly recommend this processor for 1080p gaming or just for a good workstation. But make sure you get a different cooler. Runs pretty hot when gaming (as expected with any amd cpu), but gives very good performance, even more paired with a good cooler and gpu.
Pros: -It's an awesome cpu for the price. Its unlocked so you can overclock it easily. -It already has a good clock speed so at 1080p,you can play most games at medium to very high settings. I can play shadow of mordor paired with a gtx 960 2gb at medium high settings at 56- 60 fps. BF4 at 50- 70 fps o...
Cons: -Runs pretty hot with stock cooler, so if you are going to buy this, make sure that you buy an aftermarket cooler. I would recommend the Cooler Master Hyper 212 evo, or a water cooler if you can afford it.
Summary: -I would recommend this product to other people.
Pros: -I upgraded to this from a Dual-Core A6-5400K, and I am noticing better performance on my machine -Great price
Cons: -I used the IGP for a couple of weeks while waiting on my upgraded GPU (EVGA GeForce 960). I would not suggest using the IGP if you want to play any modern games, with high/ultra settings. I think it managed Fallout 4 on low.
Summary: I put this on a new Gigabyte . F2A88XM-D3H with Patriot Viper 3 Red 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1866 (PC3 15000) PVL38G186C9KR and a Gigabyte video card to keep the APU cooler
Pros: This is plenty fast for me, I only play BF2142 ExtendedSP and get 98 FPS with Gigabyte video card and APU. OC to 4.0 easily and stable.
Cons: No way to really monitor the APU temp accurately(?) GPU is OK for normal use but video card works better and speeds it up. I could not install some Linux or Win XP at all. Had to spend another hundred for Win 7, but it is a lot faster than XP anyway. I went the APU route to install Win XP but it ...
Summary: This has been a good processor so far. I will replace the stock cooler with the one I ordered at the same time, WHEN it gets here. I think it is coming by rowboat from china. I have not pushed the chip yet on the stock cpu cooler.
Pros: It is faster than the dual core 3.4 Mhz FM2 processor it replaced. start up times are reduced.
Cons: I wish I had went on the AMD sight before I bought this. I could have bought a faster quad core A10 for less.
Summary: I bought this processor for a home work station that would only see internet surfing, some document writing and other small projects. I have no intentions of ever gaming with or overclocking this processor.
Summary: Be sure to get 1866 or better ram. I am more than happy with this setup. I got this and a motherboard , 1866 ram and another hard drive and a new cd drive for 272.00 I used my old psu and monitor. Sweet,
Pros: I would also say its responsive, great gpu, makes for a great desktop with some gaming
Cons: not many I think maybe heat, but mine has maxed out to 47,
