Excerpt: Don't waste your time if you want to use multiple RCA 25260 phones on a wired system, intercom or paging features. The box shows multiple units to make a "Perfect" phone system, but they don't mention that you must use the phones wireless for the intercom to work.
Excerpt: We have 3 in our office in addition to 3 cordless of the same system. We are a high volume medical office. We have all set up to the one Base unit so that we can use the intercom feature. The other advantage to this is that we don't have to have a phone jack where we have a phone so we did not have to run new phone lines just to ad an additional phone. It was a little confusing to set up the base unit but with a little help from the RCA help desk it worked like a champ.
Excerpt: We "downsized" into a new apartment. We had a number of 2-line telephones. However, when the ATT technician came to install our system, it happened that a 2-line system could not be installed. Therefore, we had to get an entirely new system: it consisted of the RCA 25260 corded main phone for my desk, and three Accessory cordless Handsets. This system is working just fine, but it was--and still is after over a month--very hard to learn how to use it.
Excerpt: More than enough features!!SAVED a ton of money with the phone company as this unit DOES NOT require a phone line to expand itself (as long as you have the right configuration)The main base unit REQUIRES a line, otherwise, the rest just need power, speed dial, Caller ID, you name it this thing can do it, hold button, extension assignment.Paired with handsets and other full units, they make an ideal small/medium business solution.Saved about $60 for each outlet (X4) I did...
Excerpt: We've had repeated issues getting these 2 line phones to work properly. They were the only two phones even available in our our entire county. But wait, Staples in North Wilkesboro only stocks one of any given item. So for two we had to order online or travel to another store hours away.Despite the instruction booklet, college educated staff still cannot transfer calls or use the phones as intended.
Excerpt: This phone works well in an office setting. It was easy to set up and easy to operate. It is part of an expandable system which can include this corded version and/or the cordless handsets. Only one base phone needs to be connected to the phone line and the others will wirelessly link to it, thus eliminating several phone wires and jacks required. The only down side that I have discovered so far is that the volume is a bit low even at the highest setting.
Excerpt: I purchased this phone to replace a one that was very old with no caller ID. The phone has some nice features and is east to set up. The phone is great if you are only using one line. The phone can be set to notify you of an incoming call via a sound. I turned this feature off. When you are speaking on line 1 and line 2 rings, the phone cuts out so you do not hear what the other person is saying.
