Geemarc Amplipower 50: A Great Aid to put your mind at rest

northernlovely, Dooyoo
27 January 2011
  • Summary: The Geemarc Amplipower 50 looks like your average big button phone for the poor sighted, but it is actually an amplified telephone designed for use by the partially deaf / hard of hearing. It can amplify both the call itself and the ring tones to 60 decibels and is actually recognised by the RNID as an aid to those registered with a hearing disability.
  • Pros: VERY loud and very clear
  • Cons: Speed dial reminder quite small

Another great Geemarc product

birdcharlotte, Dooyoo

  • Summary: The Amplipower 50 is designed to help those with a severe to profound hearing loss. As with all Geemard products, the Amplipower 50 has several features which cannot be found on your average landline phone to allow someone with hearing loss to use the telephone as they would have before developing their hearing problem. The phone has an adjustable receiving tone of up to 10DB to ensure that you never miss a phone call again!
  • Pros: big buttons, 10DB ringing volume, strobe light ringer
  • Cons: can be a bit pricey at £99.99
