• Summary: I purchased this phone for my 96 year old father. I wanted a phone that would have easy to read numbers in low light rooms, and based on the picture, expected white numbers on black keys. However, I discovered this phone has gray numbers (the color of the gray at the bottom of the phone) on dark gray keys and therefore does not provide the contrast he needs. The phone is not as it appears on the box. (See picture attached.

• Summary: Phone sound was good (with adjustable volumes). Photo placement availability is great option. Big buttons good for the elderly who have a hard time focusing on one small button with their fingers. Down side was as soon as phone was removed from the box and the sliding buttons at the bottom of the phone were adjusted the caps fell off. Sliding toggle could still be used without top caps but I ended up super-gluing them both on. I do not know how long that will hold up.

Great phone except for handset

• Excerpt: Great design, with big buttons and nine memory numbers. Amplifier works very well, ring is adjustable. Very nice phone but handset (earpiece) too small for many elderly people, including my Mom, who had me send it back. Otherwise a beautiful phone, but she just couldn't get comfortable with the earpiece.
• Pros: Attractive Design, Good Sound Quality, Nice Features

• Excerpt: It's too large and has too many unneeded features; but it's better than Radio Shack's other amplification phone.
• Pros: Amplification not bad
• Cons: Too Big Unneeded feature

• Excerpt: I purchased two of these phones for my recently widowed 86 year old father in-law. His hearing is poor, vision failing and he is illiterate. I was able to print small pictures of each of his children and place them on some of the large speed dial buttons. This really helps. He also can hear much, much better than with his previous phones which is terribly important during this tough time in his life. He loves the phones which makes us very happy.
• Pros: Good Sound Quality, Nice Features

Perfect Phone for Elderly.

• Excerpt: I purchased this phone for my 85yr old Mother, who is hard of hearing. She can not wear hearing aids while on the phone, and often, leaves them off due to comfort.
This phone has been more than a blessing for her! The volumn control and the amplification button do work, and they don't add noise to the conversation. Mom was thrilled with the amplification feature!
The next best thing, was the fact she can have names on the speed dial number!
• Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable Handset, Durable, Easy to read buttons, Good Sound Quality, Nice Features, Slide volumn control

• Excerpt: I bought one of these for my mom who has trouble hearing. Initially the phone worked well and she could hear. After about 6 months, the amplifier stopped working so she can't hear anymore. I opened the back to see if there was a broken wire or something and found the build quality is horrible. Looks like it was built by a bunch of 6 year olds in China.
• Pros: Attractive Design
• Cons: Poor Sound Quality
