  • Summary: My dad has very poor vision, so the large buttons and contrast of white numbers on black buttons are a plus. The feature that allows you to record an announcement for each number dialed is great. When my dad dials (using memory button plus a single number), he gets the announcement to let him know if he is reaching the intended party. We purchased this quite recently, but, so far, so good.

  • Summary: I purchased this for my father who is hard of hearing and it was very helpful for the three months that it worked. Then it stopped working completely. So I recommend it based on it's amplification, but the endurance of this product proved well below reasonable expectations.

  • Summary: A major design flaw is the small, light-colored "Memory" button that must be pushed before any of the numbers if dialing a number in memory. The feature of one-touch dialing is useless for people who cannot see or find that small Memory button. Very disappointed in that part of the design. Otherwise the phone seems to be very good.

  • Summary: This phone was purchased for a person that is sight impaired. It seemed like the best thing out there offered for the price.
  • Pros: Huge buttons, loud ring, numbers spoken a big help for sight impaired.
  • Cons: No flash, inconvient for a person that can't see. You have to hang up and redial.

Great for Hearing/Sight Impaired!

  • Excerpt: I purchased this telephone for an elderly friend (96 years of age) and she was able to read the numbers really well even though she has very poor eyesight. The ring tone was loud enough that she has no problem hearing it. My friend asked me to locate and purchase a telephone for her. She is very happy with this one.
  • Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable Handset, Good Sound Quality, Great Ring Tone, Nice Features, Numbers Are Very Large

Good communication tool for seniors

Beebird, Radioshack
6 January 2012
  • Excerpt: This phone helped my elderly Mom use the phone comfortably again. The only downside is that the speed dial feature needs a display of what speed dial number is for whom. For an elderly person, having to touch a couple of buttons and then a number, and not know which person that is dialing until the audio cue sounds, is confusing. She can't use those features.
  • Pros: Attractive Design, Clear Audible Phone, Good Sound Quality, Nice Features
  • Cons: Confusing 1-touch Dialing

  • Summary: This phone is easy to install and set up. The instructions are clear and direct. Using the phone is simple as well. The amplification is just right and can be turned off if the phone is used by someone who doesn't need this feature. Great phone!
