Summary: HATE this machine!!! It is really, really loud when it prints. The feeder does not work properly--it always pulls in more than one sheet of paper no matter type of paper. If the paper is thicker than average, it won't pull it in at all. The scanner is terrible as well. It takes FOREVER to scan one page, and if you feed more than one page it crashes.
Summary: I do not recommend this copier at all! The quality was terrible and very poorly made. It was defective and was unable to make one copy! What was worse was Canon's customer service. When we contacted them about the defective product we were told that it is under warranty and we could bring it to one of there service stations for repair! That is outrageous! Apparently Canon does not stand behind there products with good customer support and relations.
Summary: This printer broke down within a week. The switch that suppose to detect the presence of the ink cartridge is seemingly very fragile. I would not recommend this printer at all, although I still like the Canon brand. This printer is a deal because it is not very reliable.
Summary: I usually do not write reviews, but this printer is so bad I have to warn others. I run a non-profit where at anytime we are using 12 or more Canon printers to print student lessons. We have been using the Canon Imageclass MF4xxx series printers ... and they are wonderful. Over 6 years with 20 or more printers we have hardly any problems. Recently we can't seem to find the MF4xxx models anymore ... at least a reasonable price.
Summary: The printer software easily installed and the copy and printing functions work fine. But in the description it states "Built-in Ethernet port for network printing, PC faxing and scanning*" There is no Ethernet port on the one I received. I guess the asterisk means only kidding. Since we are not presently using this printer on our network it isn't worth the hassle sending it back. So the printer so far is okay. The overview needs to be edited.
