Summary: I bought the cooktop to put in a rental unit, I wanted something that looked good, and was going to be reliable. I am pleased with this cooktop, it's just what I wanted. I like the arrangement of the grids, and the overall look of the appliance.
Summary: Bought this locally a couple years ago. The gas jets work well as long as you don't splash things on the igniters. However, the grates are disgraceful. The design may be aesthetically pleasing but is far from functional. Instead of the usual six support points, there are four -- at 12, 3, 6, and 9 o'clock. If you place small pots or pans with the handles at 1:30, 4:30, 7:30 or 10:30, they often tip over for lack of support. And that's not all.
Summary: I have been struggling with an electric ccoktop for the past year after we moved into this house. This cooktop easily converted to LP gas, which is all we have here. The grates on the burners are heavy and solid which is exactly what I wanted. Great Purchase.
Summary: This was a great choice for my family. My wife wanted a glass cooktop, I wanted gas cooktop. This cooktop is a sealed burner unit so it is very easy to clean so she is pleased but it is gas so it is great to actually cook with. Only problem was hookup. Did not come with all the brass hookups, so had to purchase from local hardware store for 5 bucks. Then the clearance was not the same as the 30 year old one so I had to modify a draw so it would clear the gas pipe valve.
