Summary: I bought this cooker because my glass cooktop on my range takes forever to boil a pan of water. When I read about induction cooking, I had to try it. I have only used my range about twice in the month since I got the induction cooker. Induction is so much faster than my electric cooktop that I can cook much more quickly and I love it. I did have to buy some new pans that are magnetic on the bottom, but it was well worth it.
