Summary: We thought we were buying a high end product with Kitchen Aid. This thing shuts off after getting "too hot". The manufacturer actually said that we were using too large of pans. Are you kidding? It's a cooktop for cooking...that creates heat. We have had a repair guy to our home 5 times now and presently it does not work at all. The problem lately is that the factory can't seem to put the right part in the right box ( this has happened 3 times in a row.
Summary: This cook top was purchased and installed in February and during this first 6 months of ownership, we're finding out it is "nothing special", not very efficiently designed or practical to use. We thought we were up-grading to "stainless steel' but specifically in our case, as nice as this cook top looks, the benefits stop there...you can't even boil water without having to clean up the resulting mess, and multiply that if you're planning to fry or saute..
never been happier w/ the purchase of an appliance

Summary: the best part of this stove top is the ease of cleaning.....the clear coat on the upgraded model is amazing and worth every extra $$.....my stove top always looks like it was just installed even though i have had it for several months ...... and we COOK ..... just a damp sponge a dry cloth and it looks like new....no chemicals or steel wool to clean...
Summary: Had this installed today. Cooks great, looks great, and cleans easily. Love the knobs in front, easy for two people to cook together. The knobs are substantial which is why we choose this over the Bosch and F.P. models. Very noisy compared to our old Magic Chef. When there is a big pan (such as a wok) on the middle burner it is hard to fit any other pan on the stove. Wish I had checked this out before we bought it. Might have gone with a 36 in.
