Excerpt: I am fairly happy with my new cooktop. The top is fine. The downdraft created problems. The cooktop was perfectly installed and works well, easy to clean, lots of nice cooking options. Installation of the downdraft was and is a problem...no one professional seemed responsible so I finally found a friend who invented something to hook the old downdraft to the new downdraft. Should not be such a problem.
Excerpt: When I bought the Profile, the off light quickly went out. Had to have it repaired which took two trips by GE. While the knobs are easy to use, they're more difficult to clean around than the electronic controls. I've had other issues with my GE refrigerator, so obviously my opinion of GE has gone down substantially.

Summary: One month old and the element on the front bridge is not working. I have only used the element 3 times and never bridged. Calling customer service was a 42 minute call, even though they already had our address and information from the phone number and the women was especially obtuse. They want a proof of warranty, but we did not receive a receipt from the builder. Builder said show them settlement papers. We will see what happens.
Excerpt: Love the 5 burners and very good heat control. Only problem---I have learned that I splatter a lot. Can clean with soap and water, but to get looking really good, need the special cleaner and a microfiber cloth to take off the spears.
