Summary: We looked high and low for a small cook top for the mother-in-law apartment in our home. We were replacing a worm out top from 1960. We are happy to have found a working top cook, but the quality of this unit is poor.
Summary: Good Heat control, fits odd spaces. Cheaply made, thin somewhat flexible top piece has a hard time holding pans level unless you use very heavy cookware. Overall very usable if not overwhelming. Looks cheap but is still an increadible value and fits where nothing else will.
Summary: This cooktop replaced a 1966 Tappan cooktop which was hard to replace given the size needed. It works well and wasn't difficult to install. The quality is not the best and I hope it lasts. It won't make it 43 years like the Tappan. I will be happy with ten. The metal is very thin.
Summary: I live in Canada and maintain a mailbox just across the border. This product was not available in Canada so I purchased it through the USA. I purchased this product on-line from AJ Madison who provided very professional and prompt service. The product also came well packaged.
Summary: Unit was easy to install, good documentation. The lift top feature is nice but makes the top seem loose when fitted into cabinet. Controls work great, burners are level and for a compact unit, spacing for large pots and pans is very good.
Summary: How to use became error free since the Burner location pictured at the switch precludes selecting the incorrect burner. One of the great things about it was the easily removal and replacement of the burners. Not so Great comment is that I can't think of one!
Summary: This product is used exclusively for home cooking. It replaced a predecessor (Tappan) after 42 years in service. The replacement purchase appears to be much improved design. It's operation to date (only a few weeks)has been faultless. I have two minor criticism.
