too bad a small oversight causes the unit to fail

Marx, Amazon
27 November 2015
  • Summary: We purchased this unit in December 2012 and just replaced the main circuit Board for one element in November of 2015. When the repair man came he noted that the connection that connects the circuit board with the power had overheated, probably because the screw had loosened and it began to arc.

  • Summary: I have recently purchased the 36" EW361C60LS induction cooktop which I selected due it's intuitive control lay out and dedicated temperature controls. Imagine my dismay when I first powered up the cooktop to discover that you actually can't see the power on/ off buttons, the incremental control...

Poor visibility

Cant C, AJ Madison
22 June 2015
  • Summary: Bought this unit, without seeing it in person, to replace Electrolux induction cooktop. The good is that it performs well for cooking and heating. The problem is that the touch controls are almost invisible. You have to hunt for the controls.

Awesome Technology!

A-Lo, ABT Electronics
8 April 2015
  • Excerpt: This was our first switch to an electric cook-top (from gas). While only having used for about 2 weeks now, have not regretted a single second! Extremely pleased with ability to quickly heat pots/pans.
  • Pros: Easy to Clean, Heats Up Quickly, High Powered Burners, Large Surface Area, Precise Controls

Controls visibility is poor!

Charles, Amazon
1 April 2015
  • Summary: I just had this cooktop installed today to replace an older model Electrolux Icon. It appears to function just fine. The problem is that the controls are barely visible. The older unit's controls were very easy to see.

So awesome to cook on!!

FamilyDad614, AJ Madison
10 March 2015
  • Summary: We love this induction top. It cleans up like a dream, and heats up so fast. The kids can boil water for mac and cheese in a minute. The heat control you have is amazing. Be careful, not all pans will work on this cooktop, but it is easy to check. Just see if a magnet will attach to the pan.

Better than gas!

hedwig9662, Amazon
24 January 2015
  • Summary: I love the cook top. It is very responsive. It boils water very quickly, within 2 minutes and reduces immediately when heat is lowered. I had read in other reviews that people complained about buzzing. The unit does buzz on high heat depending on the burner and where the pan is positioned.

Works great buy beware the glass cooktop

Lori Brest, Amazon
16 January 2015
  • Summary: This unit was installed in August 2013, and it looks great and worked fabulous until December 2014. It's easy to operate and cooks very quickly and efficiently. However, in prep for a party, my wife was cooking with a large covered pot (about 12" diameter).

spumcq, Amazon
29 December 2014
  • Summary: This particular unit is excellent in almost every aspect but you should not buy the model without the steel beveled edge – go for the model EW36IC60LS instead. I wish I had as even with careful care and attention the glass beveled edge will chip or crack very, very easily.

No Going Back

Jimmie A, Amazon
14 December 2014
  • Summary: This cooktop is like a microwave oven only a cooktop. It cooks very fast and our friends cannot get over the speed of cooking with it. Our 30" base cabinet had to be trimmed out at the top sides to clear the base of the cooktop..Once you use induction cooking, there is no going back.
