Summary: "I purchased the 36" stainless steel cooktop when we upgraded our kitchen. The unit stands out when you look at the kitchen counter. The BTU on the burners are powerful. It's a great product worth the investment.
Summary: We have been disappointed with this cooktop from the beginning - have had it for 4 years. It is difficult to keep clean, the controls and surrounding area gets splattered constantly. And the knobs are actually made of plastic! One of the them actually partially melted when I was canning! Pretty cheesy. We have decided to relace it.
Summary: I have had this cook top for about 8 months now and really love it! The five burners are so convenient; this holiday season was a breeze. I like to use cast iron cookward and it is nice to be able to slide pots from one burner to another instead of picking them up. I find the unit easy to clean, I am very picky about the appearance but the stainless cleans up for the most part.
Summary: It's even difficult to describe my disappointment. I researched this cooktop online and found only one negative review on amazon, all the other reviews were super positive and I decided to buy it. First problem I encountered that right and left side grates are wobbling/rocking on the base, they cannot be settled in place. The grates surface is not horizontal, the pots lean to the right and left on the side grates and to the front on the middle grate.
Electrolux is riding on their reputation...but lost quality over time!

Summary: We bought the Electrolux EG36GC55GS1 36" gas range top, along with the Electrolux EW30EW65GS3 30" electric double convection oven. Both were installed in our new construction home. Both were purchased based upon the Electrolux / Husqvarna reputation, and the very positive past experiences we had with Husqvarna guns, motorcycles, sewing machines and a few Electrolux items too.
Summary: When we decided to remodel the kitchen, I started looking for cook tops to replace the cook top/Jenn Aire we had. I found the Electrolux had the features I was looking for -the 5 burners. To make a long story short, we made the right decision. There isn't anything that I don't like about it. With the way the burners are set up, you can have all the burners going at once.
Summary: I bought this range primarily because I wanted the most useful cooktop space I could find. Having the knobs in the front and center spread out the burners as much as you can to allow for space for handles, large saucepans, etc. There are a lot of 4 or 5 burners where you can only get three pans on there if one or two are large. The grill covers are also sturdier than what I found on other units. The BTU adjustments are top notch.
