Excerpt: We installed our new 30'' range easily in the existing hole in the granite countertop ( with a small bit of chipping in the corners, but nothing visible) . I adjusted the low flame settings. It works fine, plenty of heat on high, but the lowest flame level , even with a flame "lee ducker" is a little too high for low simmering. Even with a large pot. We may use a second flame reducer.. My wife took a Long time to get used to the range, but my "foodie" son loves it.
Excerpt: The cooktop was easy to install and set up and it looks great. The control could be smoother though. As the knobs are rotated the flame size does not vary as consistently as it should. Starting at minimum and rotating CCW causes the flame to increase for a while but then it decreases as the knob is rotated further before increasing smoothly to maximum.
Excerpt: The Electrolux EW30GC55GS (MSRP $1,349,00) 30-inch gas cooktop emulates those found in commercial kitchens. The cooktop—available in stainless steel ($1,349.00) and black ($1,199.00)—features three regular burners and one Min-2-Max burner which ranges from 450 BTU to an impressive 18,000 BTU output. While it certainly looks like a culinary pro, when judged in terms of raw performance the EW30GC55GS is more of a line cook.
Excerpt: This is an awesome cooktop. It was a little difficult for the technician to install the jets because of it being such a new product. Overall, I wouldn't have anything else. I switched to gas because of the convienence of gas over electric. This cooktop looks beautiful on my granite countertop.
Excerpt: This is a wonderful gas top. The burners light quickly and there is a smooth change from high to low. It is easy to clean. Service is wonderful too. I broke one of the grates and it was replaced without question.
Excerpt: i callled to see about purchasing the decal for my cooktop and was told that i could not purchase that by itself that i would need to buy the WHOLE TOP for 500.00 plus.. i can not believe that cost me more that 1299.99 would have a decal logo that i could not purchase by itself.. unreal..
Excerpt: this appliance was installed in March 2011. Five months later the knobs needs replacing because the lettering is fading and missing in spots. Also, the electronic light on 18,000 BTU burner does not work consistently. Other than this, it's easy to cook on and easy to clean.
Excerpt: We grew up using gas cooktops, but when we purchased our new home the previous owner had installed an electric cooktop. After researching many different models and brands we selected the Electrolux 30" Gas Cooktop. My wife and I have been thrilled with the performance and friends are constantly commenting about how great it looks in our kitchen! We highly recommend this product.
Excerpt: Gas burners do not clog easily. Clean up is a breeze. Grates are nice and heavy which means your pots/pans do not wobble around. Knob control is smooth. I would recommend this product to friend. Tiny Flaw: the knobs' finish has started to flake :'( I don't cook often, so I would hope the finish would last longer. The cook top is carefully cleaned with appropriate cleaning agents only.
