Summary: Please go an buy something else. This cooktop design is flawed and your knobs are going to melt. I collected a few knobs and sent those to Electrolux with my concern - nobody cared to even respond.
Summary: Terrible product. Metal trim was bowed, creating a gap between counter and cooktop. Replaced it upon installation, 2nd one not much better. Plastic knobs pop off, break off, and melt easily. Pilot lights go out easily creating gas danger. Grates do not work well with small pans- they topple around. Decals have come off over time. After 4 years of misery we are now replacing with an induction cooktop from a proper brand. Worst appliance I have ever owned.
Summary: First of all the description stated the depth was 24 inches - it is not. I needed the 24 inches to fit in an existing cut out on my corian counter. So now it is to short and leaves a one inch gap. The burners are set in a way that is not conducive to my cooking needs. Two of the bigger burners are located in front - so when I need the back three burners I have to reach over the big pots to get to them. Does not work.
Summary: "Great cooktop that looks wondeful in the kitchen. This cooktop bring the much needed life into my kitchen. My kitchen was a dull room where I just cooked. Now with this cooktop some life has been brought into my kitchen.
Summary: This is a beautiful cooktop and compliments any kitchen. It is well made and cooks with precision control. The deep set sump catches spills and cleans up with ease. I have it converted to LP and it operates flawlessly. I often use it to can vegetables so the top often carries a heavy load. My one complaint is the knobs. They are plastic and break easily. I have not melted any of the knobs but all 5 have broken and are hanging on with tape and glue.
Summary: I've used this cooktop extensively for over a year, and love its cooking abilities in regards to flame control and heat output. No problem to quickly boil water in a 12 qt. stockpot. In contrast, the small burners turn waaay down for a perfect low-heat simmer. The unit seems well built, and the grates are heavy and strong. I do have 2 complaints, however: 1: The 2 large burners are placed on the front of the cooktop.
Summary: "In all my years of working as a chef (which is A LOT) this is by far one of the best and most powerful cooktop I have ever used. With one burner reaching a max of 17,000 BTU, cooking has never been quicker.
Summary: "I decided to upgrade my 4 burner cooktop to this 5 burner cooktop. It was probably the best decision I have ever made regarding my kitchen ware. I'm now able to cook a lot more using the same amount of time I used before. I highly recommend this product.
Summary: Four out of five of my Electrolux appliances arrived or went bad within three months of purchase. This was one. Right out of the box, the enamel on a grill was chipped and is now rusting. A knob was also dented. The knobs should be your biggest concern, as they are apparently stamped sheet metal. Since they are exposed, careless placement of a heavy pot would likely do some damage. If you're going with Electrolux anyway, look for a model with knobs out of harms way.
