Summary: We built our house in 2012/13 and had to make many decisions about kitchen appliances and this, by far, was the best decision we made in that regard. I've cooked on several top-of-the-line cook tops and will never understand why anyone would purchase anything other than the Capital. The open burner is a feature that should not be underplayed. It offers better and more even heating. We are constantly shocked at how quickly water boils!
Summary: Purchased this at the advice of AJ Madison sales associate. Coming from a Thermador in our old home, which we never once had an issue with in 3+ years. This range has been nothing but problems from the start... burners don't light properly, those that do don't stay lite right, or only light half, or take 60 seconds to catch, etc. etc.
Summary: I'll keep it short. We built a house 10 years ago and purchased a top-rated closed burner cook top, I won't mention the brand. Summary: An absolutely amazing stove. The heat this produces is incredible and makes just about any cooking technique possible. And having every one of the burners do the full range from simmer to high heat is great. No more trying to figure out how to share the one hot burner like you have to do on some of the better known consumer brands. Nice construction, easy to remove components for clean up. It seems a bit pricey, but it's a bargain compared to its competitors.
Summary: It's a Capital...that says it all. This range top is a serious cooking device of top performance and quality! Great for us "wannabe" chefs or those who already are. There is none more impressive than this range top. Each burner reaches unbelievable high and low temps.
