Summary: great heat control. The small burner sautes very well with a true simmer setting. The large burner gets a pasta pot boiling prety fast. Only knock is that the stainless scratches easily so be careful cleaning it - use a soft rag.
Summary: As with another reviewer, I upgraded to this model from a contractor's special cooktop after a burst pipe in our kitchen forced a major remodel. Hell, insurance was paying for it, so I was going to get what I wanted! Yeah, if I could've gotten the 36" version into our space, I would've. But we are limited on space, and I needed the 30" microwave vent fan to handle dispersing the heat from the cooktop. I cook and bake a lot, so I generally know what I'm talking about.
Gets really messy looking after every use. Takes a long time to boil.

Summary: I thought I wanted the look of a stainless steel cooktop, but I now regret this purchase. If there is any splatter, which happens often, this cooktop looks terrible. The shiney surface magnifies everything. Plus, it is very easy for residue to get cooked on and very hard to clean without scratching the surface. Next time I purchase a gas cooktop, it will definitely get a black enamel surface. The actual performance of this cooktop is fair.
Summary: Bought this to replace an old style cooktop for my new granite island that looks out into my great room. I like the low profile and beautiful stainless steel finish. I cook for a family of six on a regular basis, and so far this stove meets and exceeds my expectations. I love the different sized burners and the many levels of heat they can put out. I used the middle burner last night to heat up an iron skillet to sear some tuna steaks, and they came out perfect!
Summary: I bought this Bosch cooktop for a major kitchen remodel one year ago. This evening, as I was cleaning up after dinner, I thought to myself how happy I am with it, and decided to post a review. After a year, I can give it 5 stars with no hesitation --- I love it. It's great looking, to begin with.
Summary: There's much to like in this top-rated cooktop. There also are a few things that could be better. First, the plusses: five burners, simmer and quick-boil burners, stylish for a kitchen update, good value. On the down side, fit and finish for the burner knobs is sketchy, at best (all five point a bit to the left instead of true north when in the off position, and are loosely seated on the cooktop (a good bit of wiggle, which I suspect may become a problem with time); the...
Summary: I'd ordered this unit from Lowes. We had been doing a minor kitchen remodel and the contractors removed the old cooktop the day before delivery. The lowes unit was damaged and they couldn't get us another one for a couple of weeks. In desperation, I checked Amazon and had a perfect unit delivered in just two days! I have been pleased with both the appearance and performance of this unit. The continuous grates are awesome and make both cleaning and cooking easier.
