Summary: FYI: For those of you who "do not" know anything about laptop RAMs, read on please... RAMs for laptops are called SO-DIMM. They have 3 generations, but I am not going to talk about the very old generations. Just these 3 should be just about what people are "still" using. The 1st generation of SO-DIMMs are called DDR. The 2nd generation of SO-DIMMs are called DDR2. The 3rd generation of SO-DIMMs are called DDR3.
Summary: I'm writing from my now upgraded HP Probook 4530s with these memory chips. Windows Experience index showed an increase from 5.5 to 7.3 on memory operations per second! That is 7.3 out of 7.9! So not only did the increase in amount of memory help my computer, but these memory sticks are actually performing faster with my setup! On top of that, the battery life of the computer has increased significantly.
