Did not work for me

Emily S., Newegg
29 October 2011
  • Summary: No particular problem with the RAM other than it doesn't work for me. I wouldn't know anything else about it.
  • Pros: It looks like a solid budget stick of RAM
  • Cons: It did not work with my computer at all; my computer wouldn't boot after intstalling this RAM. I did verify that the statistics and specifications on this RAM should have worked with my Eee PC 1015PN, but unfortunately it did not work for me; apparently it is little-known knowledge that only sing...

Cheap with hangups

Keith R., Newegg
29 July 2011
  • Summary: I also tried two of the identical sticks of 2gb memory but had the same issue. Have RMA'd and replaced with a 4gb kit.
  • Pros: Cost
  • Cons: Did not work with preinstalled memory in an Asus Eee Box EB1021. Caused an auto-shutdown. Strangely, it didn't appear to be a direct hardware issue as the motherboard recognized the memory and Windows 7 (HP) would start in Safe mode.

Not compatible with the Thinkpad X220

Greg B., Newegg
10 July 2011
  • Pros: Probably good in the right system
  • Cons: Not compatible with the Thinkpad X220. Laptop continuously reboots until the memory is removed. Pop back in the original Samsung SODIMM and all is well.

Works with Acer Aspire One D255

Christopher C., Newegg
31 January 2011
  • Summary: The N550 Aspire netbook is very finicky about memory. I tried a couple of other options before success with this one.
  • Pros: Just to confirm what another reviewer wrote, this memory works great with my Acer Aspire One D255, Intel Atom N550 processor (1.5GHz). BIOS picked it right up, and no issues after 4 days of constant usage.
  • Cons: None.
