Summary: Put these in the server and they came up without a hitch. The motherboard is from Supermicro. We are running virtual servers and everything is running without a hitch. This is ECC memory at a really reasonable price. No disappointments here.
Summary: Kingston pulled support of this memory for the x10sl7-f after originally being mentioned as supported on their website. I've had nothing but issues with this memory, and memtest86 shows 65k+ errors. The problem is that this memory is incompatible with this board if you use 32GB. If you use 16GB (only two dimm slots) you won't run into these issues. There's a fairly large thread on the freenas forum about this board.
Summary: I built a home server out of Server 2012 R2 with Windows Server Experience. I have had no noticeable issues due to this RAM set other than the noticeable hole in my bank account. Comparably, though, this item has been a deal for 32GB of ECC RAM. There's not a lot of product competition. Good range of compatibility with many server/workstation motherboards. My hardware build has been rock solid, which is what every computer user needs.
