Two More Sticks, Same Great Performance

Gregory E., Newegg
25 October 2015
  • Pros: Low profile and operates at rated speed. BIOS auto detected this second set that I installed alongside my first set from two years ago. Have never had an issue installing "unmatched" pairs of RAM from different batches or even, in my Wife's case, two separate manufacturer's pair of RAM sticks alo...

Great Ram

Richard G., Newegg
6 August 2015
  • Summary: I work in a High Tech industry and I know that electronics sometimes fail for no reason. This ram works great, and if I get a year or two years out of it, it was worth it. Besides, newer, faster and better ram will be coming out that is compatible with my system.
  • Pros: Everything. Works as advertized. Very fast. Easy to OC. And it was at a great price.
  • Cons: So Far, Nothing.

Reliable RAM...

PAUL J., Newegg
10 July 2015
  • Summary: i've used these kinda sticks in all kinda builds ranging from 1333 to 2133 speeds. never had an issue. they are made to run at their factory speeds and CAS ratings, so set whatever speed they are in bios and keep their factory set CAS speeds at that speed.
  • Pros: the Ares series RAM is good and reliable. The low heat sinks help when you have a massive CPU cooler. i've bought so many different speeds and colors of the Ares RAM and never had a problem with any set. there is not much to say if you know what the CAS speeds compared to the MHZ mean...
  • Cons: none....i've owned and used all different types in my personal builds and for customers. Ares isn't meant to be overclocked nor does it like it when you mess with the CAS speeds, but if your gonna do that kinda stuff get RipJaws or the Sniper series...

15 June 2015
  • Summary: G.skill is my favorite brand and always will be because they never let me down ever and they know how to make quality parts. Works perfectly like always, no problems at all and I am a happy camper.
  • Pros: I bought 4 sets 8x4GB = 32GB's for a X79 Build I Just did and couldn't be happier. The actual heatsinks are a more shiny metallic deep blue that looks so much better in person then in the pictures on the selling page. Just to beautiful to look at I cant explain it till you buy them for your self a...

Doesn't run at 1866

Benjamin B., Newegg
9 June 2015
  • Pros: Works well at 1600mhz, even with timings slightly lower than advertised.
  • Cons: Does not run at advertised speed of 1866. Other RAM runs at that speed just fine in the same slots, so I don't think the issue is my BIOS or motherboard.

A good choice

patrick i., Newegg
7 June 2015
  • Summary: Some companies sell their products and I may assume they do not show much interest in the comments and or review section. I like that G.SKILL reads and reacts to consumer input and they always offer to help with any issue the user may have. Good job G.SKILL !
  • Pros: I use G.SKILL RAM on both my AMD Dual graphics solutions. I recently bought the latest generation of APU from AMD and have chosen the G.SKILL brand based on its reliability and ease of clocking to the 1866 supported by my mainboard. I just upgraded from DDR3 1600 to DDR3 1866 .The windows 7 exper...

G.Skill Ares 1866 Memory

shannon s., Newegg
15 May 2015
  • Summary: I have an FM1 Motherboard that you have to set yourself so I could never get the voltage and speed to work together, my board does support 1866 Mhz but not xmp profile. So my bad for not checking (still runs great at standard clock speed of 1600 Mhz.
  • Pros: Blue color matches my motherboard G.Skill life time warranty overclockable Price
  • Cons: Motherboard would not allow me to achieve 1866 mhz with out blue screen of death (see other thoughts) Did not pay my mortgage
