Eliott C., Newegg
21 July 2011
  • Pros: Memory works as stated, currently using this in our Dell PowerEdge 2970. The server runs like a top with 20 GB of memory (4 GB original + 2 sets of this Crucial memory). I was able to purchase the memory here for less than what I could on the Crucial Website. Installation was a snap and the serve...

bizarre mixup

Brad W., Newegg
11 May 2010
  • Summary: Can't believe how this could happen. Thanks NewEgg for making it right.
  • Pros: The wrong ram came in the wrong package. Newegg was their wonderful selves and corrected the error.
  • Cons: Got two packages of "desktop computer memory" that obviouslly didn't work in the server. A little sticker with the correct item information was on the package. Seems like maybe the wrong product sticker was placed on the package in the factory. Whoops.

16GB for GA-EP-45-UD3P correction

Brent C., Newegg
3 June 2009
  • Summary: Correction to other review. I did not mean Toms HW, but Anandtech. Gary Key did a great writeup on the GA-EP-45-UD3P (- P45 at its finest), and is checking out 16GB with OCZ and another mfr.
  • Pros: Oops, misspoke on previous entry. See Other thoughts....
  • Cons: I goofed, but you can't edit a review. Most forum posts allow you to do so within a certain period of time

16GB for GA-EP-45-UD3P

Brent C., Newegg
3 June 2009
  • Summary: Other mfr products' 16GB attempts for the UD3P have still unresolved problems. The other attempts have been with the OCZ OCZ2G80016GQ 16GB [4x4GB, 800MHz PC2-6400 Gold Quad DDR2 Kit], although Toms HW & OCZ are looking into it.
  • Pros: For the UD3P motherboard, this is the only 8GB 1.8V DDR2 667 kit that a user on tweaktown forums has reported to work both as 8GB when 1st installed, and then as 16GB when he later added 8GB more. And only Newegg has them!
  • Cons: No free or discount shipping yet. Have to wait a month before I can afford.
