Summary: For 8 GB, these are the best. They work great, and I couldn't be more pleased. But I still want to upgrade to 16GB (or more). They are more than enough memory for anything besides video processing, and work for all video games. I can't run games like Rome 2 Total War on Extreme settings, however, but I don't blame the memory, as Rome 2 Total War is one of the most demanding games out there.
Summary: Corsair's Venegeance RAM is a great "enthusiast's RAM". It comes preclocked at 1600mhz, but can easily achieve clocks of around 2000mhz and up. While RAM does not typically have an issue with heat at the frequency that DDR3 RAM runs at, the fins add that "final touch" that you need for a computer build. However, seeing as these heat fins stick out further that your regular, run of the mill RAM, it can interfere with aftermarket CPU coolers.
Summary: great ram i have 16 gb of the stuff and there is nothing i like more than the Corsair Ram if you are looking for ram, this is the one you want. the only thing is when you first put it into your rig be sure to go into the bios and set the clock rate to 1600 MHZ, because the Default is 1333 MHZ.
