  • Summary: Noticed some blue screens on my HP Pavilion dv6 laptop while under heavy load. (i've been driving this laptop pretty hard daily for 2 years). Upgrading and and using these replacement modules fixed all the blue screen issues.
  • Pros: easy drop-in replacement
  • Cons: perhaps a little pricey...?

  • Summary: Love the black design of the cards, and it was double the speed of my stock RAM which has proven itself to be worth the money it is. I plan on using these cards in my next notebook!
  • Pros: Straight up fast, Sexy design
  • Cons: Money doesn't grow off it :(

  • Summary: Went from 4 gigs of 1300 to 8 gigs of 1600, huge upgrade. Always had a good experience with Corsair, would highly recommend any RAM or other parts made by them.

Don't hesitate to do this - My Mac is screaming fast now!

J. Baker, Amazon
3 December 2013
  • Summary: Purchased this because my Macbook Pro mid 2012 was slower than I wanted, and was frustrated by the spinning wheel of doom. I followed the instructions on the Apple support site, removed the screws, took off the back, replace the memory and fired it back up. Not sure why I even waited for a year to do this. My Mac screams now and surprise me as to how fast it is. Don't be afraid, just follow the instructions and do the upgrade. You will be most impressed if you do!

Macbook pro 2012

abierto, Amazon
16 July 2013
  • Summary: The 4GB RAM in the basic MBP 2012 is just not sufficient. When I use Lightroom, Chrome and a few other lightweight apps, it just freezes. I see the free memory and it's hardly a few MB, So I upgraded to the 8GB and now around 6GB is being used for my usage and it runs pretty fast. Very pleased.

  • Summary: Bought this for my 5.5yr old Dell Studio XPS 1640 laptop and it accepted with no issues! System is now as fast as I can make it and responds with a snap when I access programs and sites. Would buy again in a heartbeat, if I had another system that could use it.

Good fast RAM

  • Summary: Upgraded RAM in my laptop so I could run virtual machines. This RAM is great. A little more then what I wanted to pay but worth it. If the 16GB memory kit wasn't so expensive I would have went with that.

Awesome upgrade

  • Summary: This is one of those upgrades that you really won't notice in terms of daily performance. These days a lot of programs are using more ram, chrome being one of them, and it is almost essential to have at least 8gb's of it. My mid 2012 Macbook pro came with 4gb of 1600 mhz ram, and this was a nice replacement for it. More than 8gb's of ram is not needed unless you are doing some heavy editing or some gaming.
