  • Summary: Went from 4 gigs of 1300 to 8 gigs of 1600, huge upgrade. Always had a good experience with Corsair, would highly recommend any RAM or other parts made by them.

Don't hesitate to do this - My Mac is screaming fast now!

J. Baker, Amazon
3 December 2013
  • Summary: Purchased this because my Macbook Pro mid 2012 was slower than I wanted, and was frustrated by the spinning wheel of doom. I followed the instructions on the Apple support site, removed the screws, took off the back, replace the memory and fired it back up. Not sure why I even waited for a year to do this. My Mac screams now and surprise me as to how fast it is. Don't be afraid, just follow the instructions and do the upgrade. You will be most impressed if you do!

Macbook pro 2012

abierto, Amazon
16 July 2013
  • Summary: The 4GB RAM in the basic MBP 2012 is just not sufficient. When I use Lightroom, Chrome and a few other lightweight apps, it just freezes. I see the free memory and it's hardly a few MB, So I upgraded to the 8GB and now around 6GB is being used for my usage and it runs pretty fast. Very pleased.

Awesome upgrade

gopheer, Amazon
2 June 2013
  • Summary: This is one of those upgrades that you really won't notice in terms of daily performance. These days a lot of programs are using more ram, chrome being one of them, and it is almost essential to have at least 8gb's of it. My mid 2012 Macbook pro came with 4gb of 1600 mhz ram, and this was a nice replacement for it. More than 8gb's of ram is not needed unless you are doing some heavy editing or some gaming.

Only lasted 2 months

ClutchCity "red nation", Amazon
17 May 2013
  • Summary: I purchased these memory modules for a new Acer Aspire V3 hoping to improve the performance a little. My system came with 4gb of PC3 10800 ram, these are PC3 12800 ram but I was told these would work. After upgrading to 8gb with the Vengeance ram, the only improvement I noticed was in the Windows User Experience, nothing in real world usage. Unfortunately after only 2 months of installing this ram my computer started randomly crashing, multiple times a day(blue screen).

Great for MacBook Pro mid 2012

Anthony, Amazon
10 March 2013
  • Summary: The best memory for the price. Was very easy to install and noticed a pretty big difference when opening programs like Photoshop and Final Cut. I was nervous about buying this memory after reading some of the reviews of how it didn't work with MacBooks but i have had no issues.
