Summary: I was able to install myself and called for technical support for what I needed to do after they were in place for computer to recognise. I also did safety things not mentioned-unplugged computer, My memory were in a tiered fashion also not mentioned in info page.
Summary: Got this for my wife's mid-2010 iMac. The situation was a bit different than the previous reviewer, the factory memory was installed in the bottom slots. After struggling with the clamshell packaging that wouldn't let go of the sticks unless it was shredded to tiny pieces, we installed this new...
Summary: I purchased this memory for my 2010 MacBook Pro, and it arrived in a plastic package that looked like a blister pack but wasn't sealed like one, meaning that no cutting was required to remove the back of the package. Once I did that, however, I found myself at a loss of what to do next.
Summary: I love the upgrade. Great deal and works perfectly on my MacBook Pro 15" Unibody (Late 2008). No issues so far. My only complain (therefore -1 star) is that the memory is soooooo difficult to be removed from the plastic packaging.
Summary: First of all, this is a great deal at $34 after rebate. No regret on the purchase and Amazon is great. However, be aware of two things: 1. The packaging is terrible. The RAM is extremely hard to get out.
Summary: Installed on 2011 iMac 27" running Lion. At first when I inserted these two sticks in the empty slots and turned the computer back on it was beeping and wouldn't start. I ended up having to remove the two 2GB sticks from their top position to the bottom.
Summary: This memory worked perfectly for me in one of the new Mac Minis. I will say this: open the packaging like you are handling a newborn child. It is extremely poorly designed and if you are not careful, you could very easily twist the ram trying to get it out of the package.
