Disappointed!!

Allen A., Newegg
14 March 2015
  • Summary: Will try ram in my IBM ThinkPad T-500....
  • Pros: Very reliable brand of Ram. Bought this Brand many times. Ram showed in Bios....
  • Cons: Will not boot to windows. Can only assume Ram not compatible with my HP 8540p Laptop!

Not impressed

Kris, Amazon
2 July 2014
  • Summary: Hi i used this with my newest custom build as my after market CPU cooler extends over my RAM slots on my motherboard, because of this i had to go with "lower heatsink" Memory cards.

Didn't last a month

rachael s., Newegg
11 March 2014
  • Summary: I didn't use this ram very much. I had it in an old Dell on which I was running a Linux server, so I rarely used it; it's definitely not wear and tear that made this product go bad. As you can see from a few of the other reviews, this issue is recurring.
  • Pros: Worked fine out of the box. Nothing to say, really. Worked as good as any other.
  • Cons: Started getting blue screens out the a**. Couldn't get past BIOS.

Corsair Cust. Serv. very poor

Gerald C., Newegg
10 June 2013
  • Summary: I don't have a credit card for them to hold hostage so they won't send me a replacement first and they won't replace a single stick so my only option for replacement is going to leave me without a computer for a couple weeks - time during which I'll still have to be paying for my internet service,...
  • Pros: 1 stick still works
  • Cons: After about 8 months my computer started suffering random program crashes, reboots, and BSoDs, then came the day it wouldn't boot at all. Turns out 1 stick went bad (nothing but fails in Memtest). With bad stick removed system works fine, 'though low in memory. Problem is I cannot get warranty re...

Sending them back

Michael H., Newegg
27 September 2012
  • Summary: First time Corsair has failed me, I will purchase from them again, just not anything under 1.5v
  • Pros: Cool looking heatsinks. Theoretically nice speeds for the voltage and price.
  • Cons: Will not run at 1600. Tested on 3 diferent motherboards, and loosened the timings too. Seems like the Egg received a bat QC batch from Corsair.

Very disappointing

Anonymous, Newegg
24 September 2012
  • Summary: I understand this can happen to anyone but come on!!
  • Pros: Nothing, too expensive if you burning money.
  • Cons: When this ram came out, I was very excited as it was low profile and it was a trusted brand. A couple months later, the first stick died (today) and it made my computer restart, freeze and overall just mess up my computer, I did the corsair paper clip test as I thought it was the PSU (TX-750) but...

Ram errors

Julian L., Newegg
8 September 2012
  • Summary: Tested each set separately. With the defective set, game keeps crashing randomly to blue screen. With the good set, all is smooth.
  • Pros: Very pretty, goes well with my black and white case setup. The error free RAM works as expected.
  • Cons: Bought 2 sets for 16GB. Out of the 2 sets, one set has errors indicated by Windows 7 memory diagnostic, crashes my games and permanently corrupts some of my game files...

50% of it works great

Matthew F., Newegg
3 July 2012
  • Summary: My negative remarks have nothing to do with neweggs service. Their shipping is speedy and return process is easy as ever. Fingers crossed I can get this turnaround quickly.
  • Pros: The one stick that works runs fine.. no problems that I see on my new rig
  • Cons: I built my first pc and was terrified when I put everything together couldn't see anything on the monitor. Started going through the usual troubleshooting and finally figured out that it worked fine when I removed the faulty stick from the motherboard. Really upset that I have to pay $10 to retur...

Let down by Corsair yet again

Cody M., Newegg
3 April 2012
  • Summary: I bought 2 sets of these from Newegg about 6 months ago. I was pretty jazzed when I got them along with the other parts for my upgrade. All things installed great and with much ease until I tried to set the RAM timings to the advertised speed.
  • Pros: Pretty cheap, looks good, runs great at 1333
  • Cons: One stick already dead, will not run at advertised speed

User Review

Vanquish, NCIX.com
6 October 2011
  • Summary: I want to say I love Corsair Products, most of my rig is built from parts made by them. However this RAM.... Looking through my window in my Corsair 600T SE case, I could see that it looked like one stick of ram was starting to fall out of the Mobo.
  • Pros: Looks Good, Low Profile fits under my Noctua NH-U12P SE2. Runs stable.
  • Cons: Heat sinks fell off after the first day. Poor quality of heat sink adhesive.
