PERFECT

MYRON W., Newegg
30 September 2014
  • Summary: I am currently still building this case and currently have 2odd 8 hdd swap bays in it. It allows flexibility to play with different OS easily. I am using 5 Orico hdd bays 1 Icy Dock 3 to 2 hdd holder. I replaced the one that came with the case as it is not all SATA3 from other reviews.
  • Pros: 10 5.25 bays, Quality build, Good looks.
  • Cons: None for my build

Descent case

Nathaniel L., Newegg
12 July 2014
  • Pros: Plenty of expansion bays for dvd drives and hard drives, interior fan that cools the ram very well, plenty of spaces for fans, sturdy, professional looking, cant argue with 2x usb 2.0 and 3.0
  • Cons: my build was (main components) asus m5a97 le r 2.0, fx 8350, 16gb corsair dominator, corsair cx750 and gtx 760 (4gb). this case is slim so there isnt the best cable management with the 750w psu (non modular), and the airflow is okay, i added a second video card and the case couldnt take it and th...

9 June 2014
  • Summary: Overall the case is a nice case, offers support for quite a bit of hardware, and is good for cooling. But Zalman needs to improve their design on this case as some areas of it I found a bit problematic when I was assembling my PC.
  • Pros: - Has a lot of room for air movement, - Provides 4 fans with the chassis out of the box, - Provides a GPU guide bar to keep larger CPUs straight, - HDDs face the front of the case rather then the side., - Provides 3 hot swap bays, - Nice Acrylic transparent panel, - Built in fan controller with 6...
  • Cons: - Fan controller does not work with all fans. A few of my Antec fans wouldn't spin unless the power is set to maximum, - The side panel with the acrylic is a very tight fit, - The hot swap bay is located right behind the PSU -- the hot swap bay has a fan located behind it that may get messy with ...

Wow, is this thing COOL!

Jason H., Newegg
14 April 2014
  • Summary: Like my title says: Wow this thing is cool. This is an outstanding high-end case for the money and should be on the short list for any big build.
  • Pros: Our customer needed a high-end video editing workstation, which meant lots of front-mounted ports and lots of expansion cards. He was also using an FX-9590 CPU, which requires water-cooling. We were able to install two optical drives, two 3.5" card readers, two 3.5" USB3/1394/eSATA interfaces, an...
  • Cons: It's a HEAVY booger, but that is to be expected with steel construction. That's the price of quality materials and sturdy construction, so no eggs off. The box arrived looking like the shipper dragged it behind the truck all the way from California to Texas, and three of the four screws on the bo...

  • Summary: It's a good case for the price. The blue led fan is realy cool. The fan are really silent. 2 USB and 2 USB 3 on the front and a place designed to put an iPod or a smart phone. The only concern is I received it and a foot is missing. But NCIX gonna send me one. No RMA needed for that.
  • Pros: Cool, Silent Fan, A lot of nice to have in a case
  • Cons: Nothing for the moment

  • Summary: Bought this box just as a nas device case and works very well.
  • Pros: Nice design lots of neat features, i like the fan controls it helps having 12 hard drives. Drives run cool good storage design.
  • Cons: I think they could have added a couple of more fans in the sides but hey its doing what i wanted. :)

Space, and bang for buck

Cody M., Newegg
19 December 2013
  • Summary: I see a few people on here wondering how to get the top panel off so they can install another fan on top, I had problems with this when I had to do it as well. The only way to get the top panel off is to pull it off, and you will have to pull with a lot of force, so much force you will be worried...
  • Pros: Lots of space, 2 usb 3.0's and 2.0's on the front, good fan options. Many drive slots, easy installation of drives, PSU is situated at bottom of case, great airflow. My cons section has a lot of words but they're minor overall and problems that can be fixed :)
  • Cons: In order to install another fan on the exterior ceiling of the case, you need to pull the top of the computer case off. And that was difficult, see my :other thoughts" if you aren't sure how to get the top off. Mic and headphone jacks on case don't appear to work, but it's probably my fault. The ...

Very Pleased

William P., Newegg
18 October 2013
  • Summary: I ordered my CPU cooler (Corsair H60) when I ordered the case, if I'd notice the dual top fans (1 supplied with case) I'd likely have gone with the H120 double wide unit.
  • Pros: Very roomy on the "business side." Adequate cooling fans supplied. Sturdy except for the inserts (see Cons)
  • Cons: The area under the motherboard can be a bit cramped if you're running a lot of wire, it takes a little bit of care. I don't particularly care for the "front panel" being on the top, just a personal preference. The bay inserts aren't very secure and tend to pop out will moving the case.

A Great Zalman ATX Mid Tower Case

Greg V., Newegg
5 October 2013
  • Summary: I would buy this case again for my next desktop computer project.
  • Pros: This is one seriously sturdy, well made, good looking, high-quality, quiet, spacious ATX Mid Tower case with no exaggerated, gaudy, useless plastic material inside or out. I recently received mine and put it in service the next day after receiving it. Installing a new motherboard with 3 video car...
  • Cons: No cons I can think of.
