Goodnight sweet prince!

Daniel E., Newegg
24 March 2015
  • Summary: Just a great case. I'm actually sad to see it go. Felt compelled to come back here after 5 years and give it a great review. Hopefully someone at Thermaltake actually sees this and it makes them feel good about making a great product
  • Pros: I know this case is out of stock but I felt morally compelled to write this review. I am finally retiring this case after 5 years of hard use. It performed amazingly throughout those years. 2 cross country moves, 3 months of vermin infested storage, 4 WoW expansions, unimaginable amount of League...
  • Cons: I didn't buy 2 of them

  • Pros: perfect case in all ways heavy built case despite some other cons from posts, this is a 5 egg case large great cable management every thing works flawlessly.
  • Cons: 2 years later the two 140 mm fans that cam with this case has Seized and caused my tr2 1000m thermaltake power supply to fail

Awesome Case.

Daniel A., Newegg
1 August 2011
  • Summary: This case is a beast and is very stable and hard to tip over. I do wish the Thumbscrews on the back were bigger so you wouldn't need to use a screwdriver and if you are Whining because it's silver, get a life because really this case has so much to offer and you can find a red and black version at...
  • Pros: Lots of room for whatever your build is going to be. Has enough length for the Radeon 6990 or Nvidia 590gtx cards and supports almost every motherboard under the sun.
  • Cons: The manual is horrible but I was able to figure it out without needing it so if you rely on the manual, I'd say get something else or get help from a friend. This case is also heavy but I expected that cause my last case was the Xaser III. No Usb 3.0 front ports but this case was released prior t...

Excellent, with considerations

Chris C., Newegg
13 June 2011
  • Summary: Owned for 6 months. I have the red version of this which is the same model but different colors and the IO front port shield isn't transparent. -One other note, because of the sheer size of this case, the ability to remove the top panel, bottom panel, both side panels, and motherboard tray are all...
  • Pros: Roomy, tons of fan slots. 2 top, 2 bottom, 1 rear, 2 front, and room to add more internals if you'd like. Easy to clean and the wire management is a breeze. Open opposite side of case, tuck all wires under the motherboard tray, done. Comes with zip ties, Velcro cables, etc. Supports all ATX (mini...
  • Cons: -The magnet on the front panel door is a little weak so it swings open a little to easily. -Front IO Panel shield is flimsy, it being the only plastic part of the case. It snaps off very easily which it's designed to do, so it won't break easily, but it'll definitely pop off very easily. Biggest ...

Looks Mean alot

Caleb L., Newegg
2 June 2011
  • Summary: I wish I could give half an egg. 4 Seems to high yet 3 Seems to low.
  • Pros: Big. Lots of space and great airflow to keep all my components cool. With 4 fans its rather quiet. The removable motherboard tray makes it a breeze to change up hardware. And the nice cubbies are great for quick and secret storage. Also the case looks amazing especially with the lights out.
  • Cons: So far I've only had two issues with this case. I mounted a 140mm stock fan to the bottom of the case and when I turned it on all I heard was the fan. It appears the blades are actually hitting the bottom of the case. A quick fix with a cable tie inbetween the fan and the case solved the problem ...

you can still find black ones :D

fabian n., Newegg
1 June 2011
  • Summary: thermaltake is dropping the ball by discontinuing products like the black xaser cases and not producing other items such as a 1200W or larger 80+ gold certified sli certified and ready modular cable PSU.
  • Pros: found a black with red mesh one locally for 160.00 cash so they can still be found, although the black with clear windows do seem to be hunted to extinction. so before taking the plunge purchasing the silver one look around and you may still find a black one ;)
  • Cons: thermaltake dropped the ball when they dropped the black cases with the mesh and the black cases with the clear windows IMHO (in my honest opinion) and had it not been for me finding this case in black locally thermaltake would have lost yet another sale (due to the nature of thermaltake products...

dissapointed

fabian n., Newegg
14 January 2011
  • Summary: as previously stated it should cost less due to the color being silver, for example i like the main color of all my cases to be black (i dont care about the accent colors just so long as the case is mainly black) it is a great case overall but i cannot justify the price tag seeing as i would have to...
  • Pros: nice full tower, 10 expansion slots, plenty of space for hard drives, and wire management was considered during the designing
  • Cons: ugly silver color, should cost less due to only being available in silver. price would be nice if teh case was still available in black but should IMHP cost 50.00 less for being silver especially since you would be forced into this color and have to spend time and money redoing teh color to suit ...

this is my dream PC case

jian-wei t., Newegg
31 December 2010
  • Summary: the case color I got is red and black which I think it looks better than this. I watched the price for a couple of months, and I bought it when it on sale with $40 rebate.
  • Pros: this case is made for powerful users. big room, cool air, looks beautiful for me. I put in 3 more fans inside and i7 875k CPU (OC at 3.96Ghz) temp is never over 35 C.
  • Cons: this case make me going nuts and keep me just watch it runing with blue light for hours without doing anything.

Large

Ryan M., Newegg
27 December 2010
  • Summary: This is definitely worth the buy whenever they have it in stock it is probably the coolest case I have seen in person. It is a "MONSTER". You better have enough room for it. The box it comes in is almost the size of a dishwasher.
  • Pros: -Case will have room for anything you need -Case looks aesthetically pleasing -Case has good descent cable management abilities. -Case lights are overly bright.
  • Cons: -Top rear fin of case is easily broken -Bottoms are also a strong plastic instead of full on metal
