I Wouldn't Buy It Again

Michael A., Newegg
12 April 2011
  • Summary: The door handle is flimsy. The door was always difficult to open and eventually the plastic tabs that keep the door closed broke. Wasn't a really problem until I tried to get it fixed under warranty. Would have had to send the entire case back to get new plastic handle for the door.
  • Pros: Sturdy Plenty of room Supplied fans move more air than a hurricane
  • Cons: Very heavy--Might be a problem for some people Price could be more competitive. I wouldn't buy or recommend this case. Better alternatives available from brand-name vendors.

Spedo Overall Thoughts

  • Summary: I have used several Thermaltake cases and I can honestly say this will be my last. Their Quality has gone down and their price up. For those who must have this case, there is good alternative to the door fan.
  • Pros: This is indeed a large case and has several good things going for it. 1. It is roomy, the exception to this it the width. Be careful and take measurements before buying a Cpu Cooler as it may easily interfer with the door closing and the large 230mm fan mounted on the door. 2. The compartments fo...
  • Cons: As stated above, be very careful when buying this case and know what you are getting. Both the top and front of the case is plastic as well as the thermal chamber dividers. The 230mm fan on the door can not be purchased from ANYONE. This includes Thermaltake. Mine died within 4 months of purchase...

Not so great.

  • Summary: Overall it's a nice design, roomy, and it looks great. However, Thermaltake still needs to improve to be ranked in the top, I don't feel like I should have paid this price for what I received. I would've understood a modest price of around $100-$120 for this case.
  • Pros: o Very large space, I could fit just about anything in here. o Nice airflow design, at least on paper. o Stylish, mostly black, black thumbscrews, etc. o The cooling chambers was a neat idea, though I only use the power supply chamber. o 'Hot swappable' drive bays is a somewhat useful feature; ho...
  • Cons: o Extra unneeded space, adds an extra 2" to the top of my old NZXT Zero full tower. o All of the fans are very loud, I'm quite picky on noise level. I've disabled all but the front fan, as the top/side 230's, and the two 80mm's in the back seem to be very loud. o The fans are loud and uncontrolla...

Good and Bad...

JIN P., Newegg
11 April 2009
  • Summary: The overall temp performance seems to be better than before, and the design of the case is incredible, but I am very disappointed by the quality. Especially the “Toll free design” for all the drive bays doesn’t work properly.
  • Pros: - Very good design inside and out! - Many fans (Good with the fan controller!) - Easy to manage cables! - Overall temp went down!
  • Cons: - Some quality issue!!! (See Other thoughts) - The Advance Thermal Chamber's top cover for my Asus Maximus Extreme DOESN"T FIT !!!!!!!!!
