I GUESS

Chris K., Newegg
29 November 2011
  • Summary: This is my 3rd case Like this through out the past 6 years and I think I'm done with them. They are too big, and too heavy... I'm not building a server, and don't need all the space. And for the price, I shouldn't be easily breaking little plastic snap in parts with zero effort.
  • Pros: Lots of room to keep it cool.
  • Cons: Fragile.... Plastic parts break easily. Front panel drive covers require directions. You Can't just pull them off and put them back on.

Thermaltake Armor+

Laszlo T., Newegg
29 October 2011
  • Summary: Why didn't Thermaltake paint the inside of this gorgeous case? It has a large window, and it would be nice to have the inside look more polished.
  • Pros: This case is big and heavy, and looks fantastic! It's solidly built and the window is nice. It has more than enough room for my Gigabyte Z68X-UD7-B3. It has a compartment in the top and a drawer that can be added to the front. The toolless design works well. The Black plastic parts have a nice, u...
  • Cons: Do not buy this case unless it is going to sit where you use it, this case is not for carrying to LAN parties. It is simply too heavy. I would like to see the option for the power supply to be on either the top or bottom, but this case wants it in the top. I had to repair the HDD activity indicat...

Not a Long Term Solution

Stephen H., Newegg
7 February 2011
  • Summary: So the cooling system is a joke. Now lets talk about ease of cleaning. If you have animals in your house, look elsewhere for a case. Since there is hardly any filtering of any kind (the front has a filter, but the front fan is useless anyway), fur and hair is easily sucked in and clogs fans faster...
  • Pros: I wrote a review a while back, right after I got it. This review is a follow-up to analyze the long term viability of this case. As such, you should probably take my opinion seriously if you intend to keep this for more than 2 years. This case is, again, massive and allows room for anything you w...
  • Cons: After long term use, Ive found many more cons than I did originally. Ill stick to the big ones. The biggest issue is the cooling system. The included fans are laughably pathetic, especially the side fan. This is somewhat fixable by replacing them. However, I dare somebody to find a replacement fo...

Not too bad, but still has issues

Owen P., Newegg
17 February 2010
  • Summary: I've been buying from thermaltake for a long while, they are the only cases I buy. But when the customer support tells you to go buy refurb parts when YOU STILL HAVE WARRANTY. Thats just....sad...hopefully they see this and help me out and look for any others like me
  • Pros: Ok, right out of the box the case looks amazing, has a easy touch to it, and is easy to work with. I like how you can put 2 120s on the bottom and a 140 on the top to suck all of the air out and keep everything cool. MOBO tray is also a plus
  • Cons: The space behind the mobo tray is cramped, my molex cable from my PSU does not like it back there. Anything made out of plastic....will break. I got this case on 10-15-09 and right around new years one of the fins was loose so i took a look at it, cracked hinge, the case never moved. all of the t...
